Finally we're gonna have good roads with sidewalks everywhere even in inner city areas built cheap with home-grown materials.

I can't believe we used to import virtually all the bitumen used for road construction when we have some of largest deposits of bitumen in the whole world. No wonder it was so expensive!

In fact this country is too blessed.

I'm happy we are in an administration that is......visionary.... compared to what obtained in the past.

Always building infrastructure with their mouths. Lying about alliances and boasting about audio contracts and foreign investments. Shameless

That cannot be true! From empirical studies, will that drive cost down? NO! Why, you wonder?

Because competition to export to Nigeria necessarily drives prices down, Nigeria is a dumping ground for many imports.

Cost might go up because of localisation and fewer competitors from other producers.

One thing is certain: there will be less pressure on the FOREX market for the dollar to import, thus strengthening the naira.

That's when the cost will now skyrocket. Has anything ever gotten cheaper because it is produced in Nigeria

. The very rich bitumen belt extends from Lagos, Ogun, Ondo and Edo States with Ondo State being the epicenter of the bitumen reserves. The value of the bitumen reserves in Nigeria is way higher than the value of the crude oil reserves in Nigeria and this is highly impressive.

The Gucci bags and imported Brazilian dog hair you use, there are numerous CHEAPER made-in-Nigeria alternatives.
