With the president or no president SW will continue to be the pacesetter.Others can continue to wait for the presidency that won't get to them in their lifetime. |

Where is the railway which contract Peter Obi signed when he was governor? Where is the railway which Rotimi Amaechi spent billions to start when he was governor? Those are two of the new Messiahs of the shallow thinkers

Ttalk:Indeed. In fact, the greatest and most pivotal period of progress Lagos recorded, post 1999, was achieved while she was in political opposition to the ruling Party under Tinubu and Fashola. It is the reason I will always respect PBAT and Fashola. If Ogun State can get a truly dynamic and visionary Govenor post Dapo Abiodun, and the SW take the implementation of the DAWN regional integration road map very seriously, then we would literally be in another millenium in ten years time. This is why I think other region's focus on the Presidency is misguided. The Presidency is not a magic wand to suddenly make every Nigerian wealthy, happy and fulfilled. What the Presidency should do is remove bottleneck so those who truly want peace, progress and socio-economic greatness can achieve such without 'one Nigeria' impediment. What all regions should be seeking is greater autonomy over their socio-economic decision-making and direction, including full control over security parastatals, so they can make optimal progress commensurate with their human and material endowment if that is indeed what they truly desire. |

WorldRichest:Amaechi is even far better than Obi who is a sad joke as far as political leadership is concerned whereas his people tout him a messiah to then be attacking PBAT. I truly believe PBAT, if in power for 8 years, will faciliate the effective rail linkage of most major cities and districts of the SW to make it an expanded and interdependent economic bloc like the EU. As things Stand, the lagos metro rail has a modular design meaning it can be extended in diffrent directions. The Blue line terminating at Marina currently will reach Epe. From that point it can extend into Ogun State and beyond. So much possibilities for the SW if visionary leadership, as Lagos seems to always have, can anchor the processes needed to deliver accelerated socio-economic development. Clowns like Adeleke and some others need to go though as their sort will always be weak links and clogs in the wheel of progress. |

Was it before or after he left his job in Lagos to go and say bye bye to Tinubu at Abuja airport?🤔 I couldn’t help but shudder at people’s fathers disgracing themselves.

I know that that guy is just trying to derail the thread (so that the good news will not be celebrated) and I shouldn't respond to him, but I will comment on it just once, in the interest of truth. He creates the impression that the governors left their states simply to say goodbye to Tinubu, yet that is a lie. The governors had a meeting in Abuja after which they paid a condolence visit to the APC chairman whose mother recently died. They also paid a condolence visit to the Kogi State governor whose father recently died. The visit was at the governor's Abuja residence. Many events were scheduled around these meetings, for example, Sanwo-Olu attended the Gitex-AI Summit on September 1st, North-East governors met with the president on September 3rd, the Niger State governor met with the FIRS boss, etc. On their way back they also said farewell to the president who was travelling on the same day that they were returning to their states. How can that be described as leaving their states just to say bye to the president at the airport? |

Sanwo Olu is a man with good heart, no doubt about it. But he is not living up to his potentials by serving monsters. I remember how he was running here and there during the Lekki protest. He knows the right thing to do at the right time. And you can easily spot his heart filled with compassion. But when you dine with the devil for long, you become a demon. |
