The stability in the distribution and availability of petroleum products being enjoyed by Nigerians is about to be aborted as a result of the seeming cold war between management of the Dangote Refinery and one of the umbrella union of workers in the oil industry, the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG).https://leadership.ng/fuel-scarcity-imminent-as-nupeng-dangote-refinery-face-off-festers/ |

My Obidient neighbour saw this news and started jubilating. I told him it would affect everyone regardless of whom they support but he said he doesn’t mind trekking 10kms to his workplace, as long as he has something to wail and complain about |

Dangote and his cousin (Alhaji Sayyu Ali Dantata) are slave-drivers, exploitative and monopolistic in their insatiable greed for wealth and more wealth. What they intend to achieve is to make unionism a "crime" so that all employees under both men could be enslaved without an avenue for agitation for their rights as guaranteed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended). Despite the several financial leeways accorded him by successive administrations, this is how he wants to repay Nigerians. This is one battle that he and his cousin cannot win. NUPENG must rise up to the occasion and put a stop to the Feudal Lords' cruel policy of forbidding unionism. Enough of the shenanigans! Aluta continua! Victoria acerta! @hotseat |

This fight is not helping us as a nation. No wonder inflation no wan gree go down because of the instability in oil sector. Government just left it in the hands of dangote and marketers to play with, instead to sit down and draw a line once and for all. He's busy flying up and down. U know the saying, " charity begins at home" things like power and fuel government should be serious with first before anything else, but they are not getting it |

If dangote refinery is actually producing fuel like they made us believe why would he stop importerrs from importing, why would “locally produced fuel ” be more expensive than imported one ? Have there been an independent international review of dangote refinery and determination that it is actually producing and not selling imported fuel at higher prices? |

It's very simple, any driver that is interested in unionism rather than his means of livelihood shouldn't take the job. They are not forcing the job on anyone |

NUPENG or PTD should rest. All those levies they have been collecting since, what tangible thing have they used it to achieve? |

If you know the conditions under which Dangote employees work, you'd support this cause. One shouldn't be working for an oil company and still be subject to inhumane treatment |

phadul:Not only 2k..... increase it to 5k per litre. Did Dangote forced any driver to apply? Dangote is a business man,and he has set his rules. |

Chaos in every sector, while leaders are on vacation. Not like they were doing much before the vacation. I hate to keep quoting John Bolton, but it is really the case that in Nigeria, the inmates are running the asylum. |
