You must be very smart for knowing it is a fake content. Except if the buyer was jaz with do as i say charms. Because for someone to have N83million to purchase a property. He will have a lawyer who will help him to do a due deligence of the property. Money can't be paid and transaction wont complete until verification is done. Well nothing is impossible sha.

Using his account number, BVN, NIN he will be blacklisted from Banking services in Nigeria and all related associates of his/her will be use to lure the said tenant, while interpol handles the rest.

When you hear these kinds of stories especially in Computer Village and Alaba market, then you know your people that come to Lagos on night buses have just delivered their well known service selling "fufu" to their victims and brag "brag importer and exporter based in Lagos" back homes on Christmas periods.

However, once they are caught and paraded by police; given tag that indicates he or she is from one autonomous community from the land of rising crime, then; you will come online to cry foul play for exposing his state of origin and tribe he/she represents. Vast majority of those "fufu" sellers in computer village and Alaba are your people. Going to buy in those places is like preparing to go and fight war in term of extra vigilance and caution.

If you allow "nah original, nah original" people to catch you unaware, sorry; go back home; your money is gone. Even if you are lucky not buy "fufu", they might have sold "fake products" to you unknowingly

It advisable only to build a house with multiple units if it is intended for rentals, it will be difficult for multiple tenants to connive and sell off a landlords property.

if you must rent out a fully detatched house , one need find e special means to prevent this sort of occurence to happen.

In the developed World where property registry are kept up to date such can hardly happen.

You are wise, the same would have happened to many people but there is no way these criminal tenants can do it if there are two or more tenants in the compound.

It is the mumu buyer I blame, if you want to buy a house, the first thing you do is to locate landlords association chairman or key members in the same community to inquire. Maybe he just arrive the country or a foreigner who thought he can see house online, checked and pay.

U don't verify ownership of a house from the seller(s) or even the documents they present, u verify from independent sources and records.

There are scammers who specialize in document forgery, no signature is too complex for them to sign and no document is too hard for them to duplicate
