Nationwide — India Kinamore, a 26-year-old African American woman from Colerain, Ohio who was pregnant, was shot and killed inside her home back in March 2023, on the same day she was scheduled to give birth. Prosecutors recently charged three men, including the father of her unborn child, with her murder.

Authorities said the killing was staged to look like a burglary and robbery. On August 21, a grand jury indicted Robert Ervin, 20, Kayvon Warren, 30, and Lamar Morris Suggs, 22, on 13 counts. The charges included aggravated murder, burglary, and felony assault, according to WLBT.

Prosecutors identified Warren as the father of Kinamore’s unborn child. He allegedly pressured her to have an abortion, but was unable to proceed due to Ohio law. Investigators said Warren was also in a relationship with another woman, struggling financially, and had recently lost his home.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich described the crime as a conspiracy. “This should have been one of the happiest days of India’s life,” she said. “Instead, the father of the child conspired with two others to kill her. It is heartbreaking. My office will see that justice is done for both India and her baby.”

Reminds me of a case many years ago in which a white guy hired a ghetto hoodlum to car-jack his own vehicle, and kill his heavily pregnant wife. Before long the tall tale that was served up to investigating police officers began to unravel, and the murderous husband went to jail for life, along with the trigger-men.

Is that not the case of the NFL player that sent hitmen to shoot his heavily pregnant girlfriend riding in the car with him? He's already out on parole.

The case I have in mind is that of Scott Peterson, who was a car salesman at the time he set up his pregnant wife to be killed by hired accomplices. Your mention of an NFL player doing the same crime does ring a bell, though.
