Often I come across this talk that Oyo State Is the same size as the South East and I just laugh. I wonder if these people think there is award for size of land? The State of Texas in America is about the size of Nigeria, so?

States in Nigeria are not based on size of land, they are based on population. The population of Oyo State is just about the same as that of Anambra. Numbers are more important than size of land

Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria in terms of land size, but it is the most populated and richest State in Nigeria. Can you imagine someone saying that Lagos is not important because it is small? Isn't that laughable?

IMO GDP is almost twice of Oyo and u think size matters? Anambra still have bigger GDP than Oyo

What matters is productivity and that's measured by GDP per capita not land size or population

Where were your people when European picked interest in south west to develop but neglected your own? It means there are points of attraction European saw, but couldn't see in yours after all Nnamidi Azikiwe was the first they handed Nigeria into his hand, so you have excuse for not developing
