Grieving Mother of Late Sanku Comedy Denies Ritual Allegations, Recalls His Last Words

The mother of late Nigerian skit maker and fast-rising comedian, Sanku Comedy — born Raji Samad Adetola — has spoken out following her son’s sudden death, dismissing widespread rumours linking him to money rituals. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Sanku tragically passed away on Monday after a fatal car accident along the Oyo-Ogbomoso expressway in Ibadan. His untimely death sparked speculation on social media, with some alleging that his rapid rise to fame was connected to fetish practices.

In a now-viral video, the heartbroken mother tearfully refuted the claims, insisting that her son was a devout Muslim who never engaged in rituals.

“Many Alfas gave him soaps to use, but he always told me to just keep praying for him. He said my prayers were enough. My son never went to any herbalist. He was always praying to God,” she said.

She further revealed Sanku’s final words, recalling how he begged her to move in with him so she could finally rest from her struggles and enjoy the fruits of her labour.

“Sanku was a good child. He used to help me hawk peppers before I allowed him to fully pursue comedy. He promised that he and his siblings would become great people. My son did not do money rituals,” she added.

To Alfas are worst than babalawos. Don't mind her. She said an Alfa gave her son soap to bath and at the same time,she is claiming her son did not do money ritual

He didn't die when he was hawking pepper. He died after some months of small juju cash. Na the same ritual peller do him sef do.but sadly he was always high and throwing hand signs with his dumb friends to pay attention to his near by kpai.i don't have any tears for the deceased.the deceased dsnt pay details to what he signed up for.

Totally contradictory. But they do not call it the same, most Muslims see whatever their Alfa do as directive from their God.
