loffyloffy:It still doesn't sound condescending to you making such a baseless comparison? If you can't compare the population of the SE with Oyo state, what makes you think you can compare the structures. Infrastructures and wealth of the people of both areas? That's madness. Ok, let's do the comparison. 1. What's the population of Oyo and what's the population of the SE as at 2025? Oyo is less than 1/3rd the population of the SE. 2. What number of houses do we have in Oyo and the SE? 3. What's the GDP of Oyo compared to the SE? Imo state alone is twice that of Oyo. Anambra's own is still significantly above that of Oyo. 4. What are the number of educational institutions and academic performance of Oyo compared to the SE? As you can see, there's no single basis for such comparison beyond stupidity. Next time, you can compare state to state or region by region. That way, it looks more matured. |

Please let us get BIAFRA... All these will stop. It's now so obvious that the YORUBA people with their Masters have an agenda to undermine IGBOs and their interest. Just imagine all their recent rants , like those of Abike Dabiri? We need BIAFRA and my region of the OLD SE, Akwa-cross will definitely align as BIAFRANs. All hands should be on Deck. Good day. ![]() Yujin: |

Christistruth00:Show proof. The SE is about 30,255Sq.km whereas Oyo state is 28,454sq.km. Why do you guys love to lie like this? If you must do your bigoted comparison, at least try to present facts not lies. |

esnbrutality:They have a sinister agenda against the SE which we must fight back at all cost. Biafra will be the icing that will expose them more but until then, we must match them fire for fire. Leave nothing unattended. This is the information age which we should utilize to undo all the evils they've propagated against us. You'll note that it was a human being who brought the bill that wanted to make the Sultan and Ooni as permanent chairmen of traditional leaders in Nigeria. There's a serious agenda on board. |

sreamsense:Juts a simple google search will tell you that The South Eastern States are bigger than Oyo State. The total landmass of the five states in Nigeria's South East (Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo) is approximately 29,388 km². While Oyo states holds 28,454km² |

Ttalk:We never saw you guys as enemies but as competitors. We thought there would be a bit of fairness from you guys but it hasn't been so. The recent treatment we've seen from Tinubu and his ronu gangs have shown that the physical clashes we never had will eventually and sadly start occurring. It is the reality many of Igbos have to face today. On the political arena, Igbos have been president, vice president and senate president before any Yoruba tasted those positions, so I wonder what you're talking about. However, if the post Biafran war politics is what you're talking about, you should know that it is itself just a phase. As you can see, we've bounced back economically and punching really strong which is why the rivers of bitterness is flowing out from the soul of your ronu people. That won't stop our acceleration. Yes, you guys are slowing us down but can't stop us. We on the other hand aren't stopping or wanting to stop you guys in anyway. However, since you've started clawing at us, we will have to claw back to balance the treatment. |

At bolded...I remember that event. To me that is obviously a ploy to cement the relationship between Yoruba and the North. The alignment was initiated by Ajimobi of Oyo STATE..with Shettima and extremists Northerners. Anyway..it should make us more resilient to counter their narratives by actually being advanced in deployment of initiatives that will make BIAFRA a reality. Yujin: |

Yujin:You missed the point again and it look more like you are rambling now. You are bringing up argument that though interesting was not the point people are making when saying the SE combined is just the size of Oyo state. The comparison is mostly about the size and investment needed to make impactful developments. SE states are smaller so it is easier to do projects that people will see. You or someone who agues like you also brought up the issue of 'Uselessness' which is a word that has never been used to describe the SE. The issue of GDP Is more about natural resources and esterblished business activities in the state. Having said all that , Oyo state despite its lower GDP, have one of the highest IGR in the country, and is more able to sustain its budget, far more than any state in the SE. That's one more thing for you to add to your list. In fact only about 4 or 5 states are financially viable in the sense that they can survive without much support from the FG. Oyo is one of them, there is no single SE state on the list. |

loffyloffy:Why is it that with all this land the south West has, they never managed to develop anywhere without capital city status? Lagos was capital of Nigeria for 80 years, Ibadan was capital of the Western Region before independence. But in the South-East, places like Aba, Onitsha and Nnewi were never capital of anywhere Why is it that the South West, with so much land and IGR, never manged to develop anywhere with it being capital?

loffyloffy:Can you stop shifting ground and stick to a solid argument? You're the one rambling here. You came to compare Oyo state to a whole region and when you were trashed, you returned to IGR. If I may ask, are you still comparing the IGR of Oyo to the SE or to the individual states of the region? I guess you've learnt what perspective to follow in your argument. IGR is very easy to increase if your GDP is high but not vice versa. This means those SE states with high GDP are covered to survive on their own to your disappointment. Now talking about size, why aren't the smaller SW states showing any serious development due to their size just as you point to SE states? Your problem remains tribalism. |
