Nobody is blaming anybody. But government was formed to make life easy. We moved from monarchy which infact was far better to a government by criminals and for many criminals which has continued to plunder state resources and concentrate power to hands of a few.

Always remember everything has functions and when it doesn't function accordingly you have to ask critical questions and probe the system.

In the 90s and early 2000s, I saw police officers from the rank and file, soldiers from NCOs, Naval ratings etc, middle class earners traveling to America's Miami to have a good time with their family and then come back after that annual leave.

I bet, only those with connections in government at that rank can do that now or criminal and corrupt government officials at that level can think of spending so... what changed

Even in abroad, in this era of Biometrics, some patrol teams that check for residency permits don't move around with the fingerprint scanner. They only check if document is with you. Some Naija boys whose residency have expired grab the residency card of other Africans who have either left or something and present. Oyibo no fit tell the difference between the picture and the holder with ordinary eyes
