What's the need playing this match sef?

Is there any hope of them qualifying? undecided
South Africa is leading us by 9 points, assuming we win the 2 games vs South Africa and Rwanda South Africa will still be leading by 3points then we will hope FIFA deduct 3 points and 3 goals from south Africa to make it even, then win our next two matches in October and hope South Africa drops points in their next two matches!
Such an almost hopeless situation!

How is Ghana odd? GHANA IS on top of group I, 4 points clear ahead of Mali their main contender. Further, check Ghanas world cup record.
I pray they qualify then...! They won't make it out of the group stages.

Forget past records abeg.

A win in this game revives our campaign

Already South Africa is jittery, so we can go there and pick 3 points from there home
even at that they will still be leading by 3 points

Past record is a major factor in football. That is why Head to Head analysis are done before a game. The world cup is won by teams with good track record and character

If we were to win this next two matches … is there hope of qualifying for play offs ?
Nigeria has played 6 matches of 10 matches with 7 points while South Africa has played 7 matches of 10 matches with 16 points. For Nigeria to qualify, South Africa has to lose two and draw one of its remaining three matches or lose one and draw two of its remaining three matches. On the other hand, Nigeria has to win all of her remaining four matches to guarantee qualification.
Eight more group winners in African qualifying are guaranteed to join the Atlas Lions of Morocco at the 2026 finals, with the four best-placed runners-up entering play-offs for a slot at an intercontinental tournament, which will determine two qualification spots for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be played in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Once again our chances of qualification is in the hands of other teams. Is it possible to get maximum points from the remaining 4 matches? I still believe in them sha. Go Eagles!💚🤍

So far so good, Nigeria team appear more coordinated and determined to win than before. But until the end no one can predict anything yet.
