Even though he allowed it, God has no hand in Abacha's demise, please don't accuse God of murder. Those who took Abacha down did the same to Abiola.

Abi how can 2 big fish become unalive within a month in a strange manner?
You're right. Those who took out Abacha did so to placate the South West in particular (who they deem an important piece of one Nigeria) as well as others who were aggrieved of Abiola's death, as they didn't want to risk instability in Nigeria due to their interest. And it didn't help that Abacha was becoming uncontrollable especially with his moves in the mode of payment/transactions of Nigerian oil.

Whatever happens, nothing stays up forever.

No matter what is compromised, one day, APC will leave just like PDP did. And all will be vanity. Today the people who destroyed Nigeria are complaining. The policemen who held umbrella for these evil politicians are suffering, some are going on protest. The P.A.s who did all the dirty work, some of them are suffering.

That is the same way that the ones who are doing it today will also suffer. Let them continue.

And to cap it all, Humphrey Nwosu, Maurice Iwu, Jega, and all the INEC or Eyeneck bosses left and the remaining and upcoming ones will also leave. Even the one that came up with BVAS that didnt work will soon leave. Nothing lasts forever. At the end of the day what they have is regret upon regret.

I once worked in an office where the head of Audit connived with the CEO to loot. When the chips were down, he said his only regret was that the didnt blow the whistle. And I said Sir, that is the only reason you were employed as the head of audit.

These Eyeneck bosses and staff were employed to be an unmpire, but in their heart of hearts, they know that they're thieves and nothing more.

The whole thing was written to rile up sentiment as against to inform/educate the public. More paragraphs dedicated to "rigging" and very few to talking about the credentials of Abdulrazak. A trap is being set for Sowore just as it was done for Dele Giwa, except in the case of Sowore, if DSS is saying his actions are capable of causing unrest, then they're are actually right because what in the world did I just read?

I think your anger is very misplaced. The INEC bosses are very powerless. Go and watch Humprey Nwosu's interviews. On more than one occasion, he mentioned how Abacha (then Babangida's Chief of Staff) threatened him with his own security. Same thing with Jega. I mean these guys are just put there as figurehead to take the hit. They decide nothing. Someone somewhere is responsible for their pay, security, appointment, dismissal.

In my opinion, I think democracy is the problem. It is a very deceptive system of government. Words like "order" and "administrator" that we hate to hear under the military has now been made very normal under democracy. Or is it abuse of power? A former first lady still has some of her workers in detention for over five years for a case of theft. There is a certain ex Governor from northwest who during his time in office, opposing voices were just disappearing like fart.

Like I said, the INEC bosses are not the problem because they lack actual power (command of the armed forces and unfettered access to Nigeria's wealth). I can bet even you will comport and comply as INEC Chairman when a politician looks you straight in the face and tells you your security or those of your family is not guaranteed.

Even when I have some reservations about the APC government especially on inflation and fuel master,I don't see the government losing in 2027.The APC structure is becoming stronger daily.

If Tinubu hands over INEC to a northern muslim to conduct the 2027 election, then he is politically naive, to say the least.
Is the man a northerner?

By peace and pieces, T must quit that office for one to breathe at least

😆 😆 🤣 God is in heaven so I laughed. Abacha did worse but God showed him the way out. Nigeria is a country of prayers despite our recurrent mistakes, God still fight for us. We will see the finger of God in Nigeria
If not for God's mercy, you know you do not have the perfection HE requires and HE would have taken His breath from you without blinking for a very long. Many that wished for Buhari's death went six feet under long before his death. Be careful of what you wish for.

And I ask, why? Even so, why should it happen now? I don't care about Tinubu one bit but where was this call when OBJ was using Maurice Iwuruwuru to rig elections blatantly? When in 2003 we would be on the queue and elections results for our local government will be getting announced? Shouldn't this have been the perfect time to start this call?

I know the usual response "should we continue doing the same thing because it happened in the past?" But my response is, why not, especially since not only did we allowed it for OBJ, we allowed it for two other presidents in GEJ and PMB.

What this tells me is that, people making this call now are not doing it for the love of the country or its people but because of their hate for the current president. I can almost bet my life that even if Tinubu heed this call and their favourite candidate gets into Aso Rock today as a result, they will revert to the status quo and there will be one of two reactions: silence (as it was during the time of OBJ, GEJ, and PMB) or bold-face defense on why the president appointing INEC Chairman is the best decision ever.

Whatever we do though, we should always remember that presidents will come and go but Nigeria will remain for many years to come. Special demands such as this should be made in the interests of the people of Nigeria, irrespective of our feelings for the current occupant of the seat of the presidency.
There's no time too late to correct a wrong. "Nigeria will be playing SA tomorrow. You will not expect Nigeria or SA to select that match officials". I hope this analogy explains it better to you?

Not just Nigeria or South Africa, in the history of football, there has never been a time when any country participating in a competition was allowed to choose match officials. It didn't happen then, it is not going to happen with the Nig - S/A game. That is the difference. That is consistency!

Inconsistency is when since 1999 every single Nigerian president singlehandedly picked an INEC chairman but the current regime is where y'all woke up (after three presidents and 20 solid years).

You know it, I know it, and Tinubu himself knows it that this kind of calls is not in the interest of the country but just some people who want him out and want their favourite politician in. And that is why Tinubu is going to appoint an INEC Chairman, and so will other presidents after him.

Pure trash. The last election is the best election in the history of Nigeria. You are just wailing because your candidate lost.
With the introduction of BIVAS, Nigerian elections are more realistic now compared to the charade that we used to have.
May the Fates lead your life as that election was conducted.

So, you believe sowore story?

I don't believe all he wrote here. Sowore was just trying to be preemptive. Just to stop it from happening.
Sowore outlined tinubu's plans to rig, and he also said the rigging system has been tested multiple times and you're here saying it's "preemptive"?
Omoh eh, I don't just understand you guys. If a yoruba man must be president, why do you guys give us the worst of the worst? why must it be tinubu?

Abacha is a nationalist that Nigeria did not enjoy. Even though politicians hate him and he despise them as well passionately just because of one thing... Politicians are not patriotic to the country.

Nigeria has never been safe like under Abacha.
