In Congo Drc, there's a church that did it recently, the GENERAL OVERSEER' handed the Headquarters to 2 of his assistants and those 2 assistants also handed it over to their own assistants and it has made the church to grow massively all over Congo Drc, the current President of Congo Drc is a member of the church.

Very commendable act done by the General overseer in Congo Drc, he has NO SAY IN the day to day operation of the church that he handed over, and he is doing well in preaching the Gospel, after he handed over the church to the 2 assistants....

From the look of that structures in the pictures, Rev. Akindayomi didn't leave a poor church and he was very innovative. If he was still young as Pastor Adeoye then and still alive till today, he would have grown the church to exactly what is it today or even more.

But I can't condemn those who hand over to family members, because if I am in their shoes, I may not hand over a lifetime investment I have sweated to build to a non-family member.

Rev Akindayomi and a very young Pastor Adeboye! It is difficult to see selfless men of God like this now! He handed over to Pastor Adeboye despite the fact he could have transferred power to his wife,children or in-laws! He also didn’t put his family in top positions in the church.

He allowed God to choose and not his emotions and human tendencies! His selfless decision birthed a global church which is one of the biggest in the world. God bless him.

we define a growing church by their numbers. Because realistically speaking, there is no standard way you want to know who is striving to remain on the straight and narrow way. And everything is a game of numbers. Factually speaking, the more people you have, the more the number of people that could be real believers. Why did Jesus tell his disciples to go ye into the world? To go get numbers! why do they go on missionary work? Numbers!

Ok, let's agree that a growing church is defined by number that would mean that growth is a useless metric in the kingdom of God because all God cares about is that the souls return to him.
Now to your mathematics, you claim that the more the people you have, the more the number that would make heaven. Is that God's word or your opinion? You can have a million people but if none of them is faithful, none will enter.
The population of the church has nothing to do with going to heaven.

The church of christ is no private investment of any pastor the primary reason why a church is established is to win lost souls for christ and not to reap from any investment that was invested in the church it's better to call it another name if the pastor that established it is expecting returns and planning to hand it over to another family member.
