A U.S.-based Nigerian, Theophilis Anwana, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after he was convicted of a second-degree rape amid the Donald Trump-led government raid on illegal immigrants and criminals in America.

Mr Anwana, 37, was arrested on August 28 by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Baltimore, ICE said in a post on X on Sunday.

“Theophilis Anwana, a 37-year-old sexual predator from Nigeria, on August 28,” ICE said. “He’s been convicted of second-degree rape in Bel Air, Maryland, and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.”

According to ICE, Mr Anwana has had a final order of removal since four years, since September 2021. Mr Anwana would be deported after serving his jail term in the U.S.

This one life has come to an end, cause after he finishes his jail term, then that madness injection they are administered before deportation, when he gets back to Nigeria he won't be useful for himself, his parents, his community and Nigeria. Arrested in August 28 jailed in September less than 3 weeks, the story is not adding up except if it wasn't August of this year. People don't get jailed very fast like that.
