lapintoz:Why mentioning Obi. Is Tinubu a Lagosian? No,he is not. Same way Tinubu left Iragbiji, Osun state, same way Obi left Onitsha to Lagos. Therefore, reason before you post. |

You know, atimes one does not actually understand the traffic in Lagos... Is it that the flood made the road inaccessible or the flood cut the road into two or the cars in front all got spoilt or what exactly? Most times, you'll just find out it's two animals who stopped their cars in the middle of the road to argue because one bashed the other, causing traffic that'll stretch from Church busstop to Gate Even if there's flash flood, I don't think it justifies standstill for up to 3hrs, yes cars might start moving slowly, but THEY'LL STILL BE MOVING, not everywhere just still for hours |

franchasng:I'm just surprised the bold have terrible roads. As for the non-bold, well, I'm not surprised that they don't have motorable inner roads. E get why. |

Gerrard59:the guy is capping. he will be the same person gnashing teeth when lagos enforces bans of pure water , single use plastic or demolishes houses blocking waterways the flooding is a drainage issue. there is well done a network of drains through festac which leads to a canal. when it rains you will see the drain entry to the canal be COMPLETELY blocked with debris. at which point it starts flooding everywhere the same issue is replicated through lagos. where there is a clear failure is the way local govts keep botching clearing of road drains. drain speriodically fill with silt esp on teh expr4essway. once in a while you get a half hearted, annoying show where the drains are emptied of silt, which is then abandoned on the same road in large heaps to find its way back into the drains |

GloriousGbola:So the blame is entirely on the waste management authority - LAWMA But this means there exists so much opportunities to recycle those wastes into semi-finished products |
| Re: Gridlock As Flash Floods Take Over Lagos Roads by GloriousGbola: 2:43pm On Sep 13, 2025 |
Gerrard59:No. It is Nigerians who regularly throw rubbish indiscriminately everywhere. You will see people throwing bottles from the windows of cars. You have seen videos of Nigerians caught dumping rubbish on bridges as an example. Lawma is only one leg of the triangle. Responsible citizenry is also part of the equation. What is a problem is that post Ambode there are not as many psp operators as there should be. There are already recyclers. I saw a factory doing this in ikorodu last week |
