We had this big tree in my aunt's house. When ever it was raining and windy, it was free elelebor for everyone

After eating the freshy part, it has a groundnut like inside that's if u have the strength to break thru it

It's name is FRUIT.

But some people claim its name is almond, but for naija, it's name remains FRUIT

The normal almonds are not grown in Nigeria.

This almonds fruits seeds are too tiny and breaks easily,they have almost zero economic value.

If this was the normal almonds it would have been one of the most common farms in naija.

As a little child I knew it as Fruit.
As a teenager, my brother told me it is Terminalia Catappa fruit.
Then as an adult I knew it as Almond fruit.

Oga , una too like argument for this Internet, the one you posted is called tropical or Indian almonds, it's completely different.

The picture below is the typical almonds, how does it look like ebelebo? They even taste different.

Fruit...we climbed these trees to catch lady birds...or thats what we called those beetles with the smelly poo..

We had one in our compound too. It is called the Indian almond. Yes, it was not sold in the market. Guavas too were not common in the market. Cheers. Guava trees are becoming a rarity in Nigeria. I want to reverse that trend. Cheers.
