Re: PDP, SANs Protest As Senate Blocks Natasha’s Return by malali:
Kogi Central Constituents should seek Legal Recourse Against Senate President

Kogi central constituents can consider alternative legal avenues:
• Judicial Review: If the Senate President’s actions are perceived as infringing upon constitutional rights, constituents can seek judicial intervention. Courts have the authority to review legislative actions and ensure they align with constitutional principles.

• Public Advocacy: Engaging in public campaigns and advocacy can raise awareness and apply pressure for accountability. While not a legal remedy, public opinion can influence political processes.

Kogi Central constituents should write a legal public letter to attorney general of the federation stating that they seek a judicial review as Senator Akpabio is using his position and power to deny them senatorial representation in the senate, They should require him to step aside while his excesses and possible over reach is thoroughly investigated and Tinubu can appoint a special prosecutor.

You have to fight Akpabio's ego...He thinks senate presidency is his inheritance.

Now for the first time, I absolutely agree with you. That’s certainly the way to go. Suspending the Senator for six months, deprived the people of Kogi central representation for six months. It amounted to punishing the people of Kogi central, while the other Senators continued with their duties of representing their own constituents and their constituents enjoying the benefits therefrom. Further stopping the distinguished Senator, amounts to further obstructing the citizens of Kogi Central from adequate representation and benefits.

I think PDP as a party and the opposition generally should add their voices at this time to this excessive use of power by the Senate president and his group. Also, a review of the powers of the senate to suspend senators for such duration must be carried out.

The funny thing about our Politicians is that they forget the International community is watching.

The President suspended a sitting Governor and all elected officials in Rivers State, and replaced them with a Military personnel. There was no war in the State that warranted such actions.

The Senate President suspended a serving Senator for 6 months, and denied her constituents from representation. The period of suspension has passed, allow the Woman to return. Now you are saying that you have to wait for the Court to give an order?
All of a sudden, you have remembered the Court?
Was it the Court that suspended the lady?
There is no order from the court saying that you should not allow her to resume.
Its just amazing!!!

By this logic, it means the Rivers State Governor will not be allowed to resume again, because the matter is still pending before the Supreme court?

How do you intend to take your place in the polity of Nations where you trample on citizen's rights, flout court orders and then twist democratic priniciples to suit your narrative?

How do you think other Presidents look at you?

And the painful part is that there are still people who will come online and support this atrocity

For instance, if someone is sentenced to six months in jail and decides to challenge the sentence, but the legal process drags on for eight months, the person ends up spending more time in prison than the sentence itself, simply because he is contesting that he was wronged in the first place. Does that make any sense to them?

Akpabio has turned the Senate into a tool of victimization, and they are all dancing to his tune. As for the PDP and others, they were co-conspirators from the very beginning; they just suddenly woke up now, ba?
Such person would not be in prison in the first place. Natasha has many cases open that time alone cannot solve or dismiss. How does she intend to work in a place that has a court case against her and a boss that she has a court case against. It's only orderly that all these drama she brought be resolved first.

Now, they are referring to pending court case as a reason they can't allow her to resume

Senators like Akpabio are wielding patriarchal politics, acting as if they are doing Nigerians a favor. They need a reminder that their positions are granted by the constitution and exist at the mercy of both the federal and legislative arms of government. It’s glaringly obvious that Senator Akpoti is being targeted simply for standing up to him. Now that his ego is bruised, he interprets the constitution however it suits him, seemingly forgetting that Nigeria has an Attorney General and a Supreme Court capable of curbing such excesses.

How convenient can it be working with people who you are fighting with in court? It's only reasonable that the court cases be closed first. This avoids unnecessary complications in an already complicated situation. The Senate is not a theartre. Those are grievous/weighty allegations that cannot be swept under the carpet and business goes on.

What about those politicians like governors, house of reps members even senators that their victory is been challenged in court by opposition party after election why didn't inec said they should wait since the case is still pending in court. So with this logic the Rivers state governor sim fubara shouldn't be reinstated nah cus that's exactly what you're talking about here. Nawah o the way you guys play politics in Nigeria is really different one would wonder the countries you guys go to borrow money is it that you don't learn any good thing rather than to just go and borrow to steal
Re: PDP, SANs Protest As Senate Blocks Natasha’s Return by Shimbo96(m): 12:30pm On Sep 10, 2025
80% of SAN's in Nigeria are empty vessels, they were saying Senate doesn't have the right to suspend her before but now they are saying she served her 6months suspension they should let her resume. The best option is for Sen Natasha to withdraw the case from court which automatically mean she's guilty.

Well, it's ok for you to pick a side and amplify as the only "truth"...hmm..

Mr. International community is watching, I guess they were also watching when this same woman was doing local drama until she took it international to go disgrace herself thinking your "international community" will take cane and flog Nigeria for suspending her!

See every institution have their in-house rules guiding them and if you can't stand the heat stay off the kitchen biko!

Since Natasha wants to dance, they will keep playing that music for her. Thought she won't stop her drama!

Right thinking "international community" are asking the sensible question that some of you chose not to ask from the beginning which is "What's her evidence for all the baseless accusations" in dragging the Senate President and the Senate as a whole!

They are in court, she's a lawyer, let the law run it's course!

You can emotionally argue this all you like but the Constitution provides for the president to suspend democratic rule! This has been abundantly trashed here so rest biko!

And yes, I support the "atrocity"!

Now those that wanted to use Natasha against Tinubu are showing their faces. I have always suspected that PDP tried to use her against Akpabio being a strong backer of Tinubu. But Tinubu understand their games.

Are you for real or just trying to be Natasha's enemy. Even if it is election court case that is primarily the root of the seat itself, do you prevent the declared winner from resuming before the court judge? Talk less of this scenario. Anyway Nigerians deserves the government we are seeing today if this is allowed to fly. This is not about Natasha but democracy itself. The Senate has shown that they were being biased all along about this Natasha saga.
