Lovenorth:To be honest, I don't think Lagos cares much about what is happening in the rest of Nigeria. That is why, unlike other state Governors, you rarely see a Lagos State governor in Abuja, let alone spending an inordinate amount of time there like most other Governors do. If Lagos decides to leave Nigeria today, Nigeria will be on its knees begging. |

Correction: The North is holding Nigeria back. |

He should first go to South East to live or any of d 3 northern regions for at least 1 year. |

You shout and complain, yet refuse to hold your governors and representatives accountable for the massive allocations they collect. That’s hypocrisy. Instead, you grandstand and play to the gallery. Lagos doesn’t need your noise, Lagos will always be Lagos, and it will keep moving forward. Eko ò ní bàjé! |

thisisit:A Niger Delta son was VP for 2 years and President for 6 years. What did he do about it? Ordinary drinking water, GEJ couldn't give Otueke. It was Buhari who constructed a borehole there. You people are the ones marginalising yourselves because you don't tell yourselves the truth. |

Nigeria is a place we do the wrong things but expect the correct answers. They are punishing themselves and think they are punishing the Igbos |

riches4me:If he lives in the East for just 1 year, he will appreciate Lagos for life. Why do you think PSquare abandoned their father's house in Anambra and ran out to Lagos. |

Don't mind them Their envy didn't just start. When the Western region was thriving and was more financially buoyant than the other regions, they started envying the Western Region...that was why they created States to clip the wings of the South west They have started again. This is beyong VDM...VDM is abtoil bn used. oyatz: |

atiku4President:Who is punishing Igbos? You are just lying to yourselves in that tiny region. Fish magnate vowed to crash the price of catfish in Anambra, what happened to him? Look at your kinsmen supporting Gentle yahoo, Ekpa and Kanu. Those guys don't have a single business contributing to the economy of the East, but you are cheering them on while they destroy the economy of Alaigbo. You can only deceive your type, not us. |

oyatz:What made Lagos what it is today, are the FG investments in Lagos infrastructure and other policies when it was the federal capital territory. Similar to how Abuja is being developed by today. What those investments, Lagos would have been next to nothing. That is the simple truth! |
| Re: Lagos Is Holding Nigeria Back — Verydarkman by Lovenorth: 1:09pm On Sep 10, 2025 |
DeLaRue:I blame the successive Nigerian president that allowed Lagos to be center of importation in the country while relagating the other ports at the same time. There is the need for the coming Northern president to decentralize importation in the country in such away that every section of country will have equal advantage |

AyeMoJuba:As at when Awolowo flew by helicopter to present day Delta state where VDM comes from, the kids there weren't wearing clothes. The pictures are online. Lagos had an airport before Nigeria got independence. But he thinks Lagos is responsible for him having Okowa and Uduaghan ruling his state. |

Lovenorth:Haters have been regurgitating the same tired lines from time immemorial, yet Lagos keeps moving forward instead of diminishing, while they remain stuck, whining and complaining. Even as they rant, many are still finding their way to Lagos in pursuit of the Lagos dream. Your recycled rhetoric changes absolutely nothing. |

The enemies of truth will be against him for speaking up,the reason Igbos and many other tribes are moving into lagos is because of the opportunity in lagos due to how government has favored lagos as the federation capital. The development in lagos state today is as a result of the colony and the effort of the federal government. If the attention given to lagos was given to warri or ph, nobody will be running to lagos every time. Most of the development in lagos today is by federal government and private sectors. |

Lovenorth:Lagos was already blossoming before North was conquered by Dan Fodio. Without Lagos, the economy of the North is dead. The Seaport in Lagos serves the North. They are rebuilding the Sokoto road which will channel goods from the Seme border through Atan to terminate in Sokoto state. They are building different rail lines at once in Lagos while your Governors in the North are renovating cemeteries and paying religious leaders. You haven't seen anything yet. Keep electing bad leaders to rule you. |

Hotfreezer:Was the airport built by lagos state government, most of the infrastructure in lagos today were built by federal government and the colony government. |
| Re: Lagos Is Holding Nigeria Back — Verydarkman by Hotfreezer: 1:15pm On Sep 10, 2025 |
1mansolder:Lagos had an airport since 1947. There was no federal government then. What did Igboland have as at then? Was it not ordinary tax they introduced in 1927 that your Igbo women wanted to burn down the East? The tax paid by those in in the West developed Lagos that you are eyeing today. Your ancestors had no vision and you are seeing the consequences today. |

The sea port is what is making Lagos to be what it is. Some body once said in the whole of Nigeria we have only one scanner in the sea port which in Lagos though I may not know how true this could be And it is like One sea port do not do clearance |

1mansolder:Lagos had an airport in 1947. Wasn't built by the federal government Ibadan had a radio station even before France got one. You can Google it. Built by the Western regional government. Show us the one built by your ancestors? |

He might not be entirely wrong. Using the ports for example. Someone once said he tried clearing his goods at the Onne port, something that'd take less than a week to clear at the Lagos port, it took over three weeks with intense begging for it to be cleared at the Onne port. The person said it was just an unnecessary series of bottle necks with nonchalant people. Now, with such experience people would tend to want to clear their goods at Lagos over Port Harcourt. Whether this is delibrate (to make Lagos' port more attractive) or not is what I can't say. Also, the militancy contributed to most oil companies moving their HQs to Lagos. Problem is that since the end of militancy, the governors have done nothing to attract these HQs back to the region. Seriously, I believe the SS governors are the laziest set of governors. |

atiku4President:The last i check, VDM is glorified illiterate. A common check even on Google will tell him that there are Eastern Ports consisting of the ports in Warri, Onne in PH and Calabar port. Enugu international airport is there. so what's the fuse about? |
