Time to end the Highline once and for all.

With this new offside rule, it will be stupid of us to continue the highline.

No way a highly consequential rule change such as the offside would be introduced mid season. The players would need at least 5 years prior notice before it could be implemented across the board, to practice and get acquainted with such 180’C rule change.

Probably it would be experimented in youth level football for the first few years before being introduced in senior level competition.

Remember you need to also retrain the assistant referees as well to understand them. Not gonna be a walk in the park, bro.

De Jong and Casado should be sold. I don't know why our management can't see that as a priority. They are a waste of space in our midfield and it feels we're always a man down when any of those two feature.
And who should play as the deeper Midfielder if you sell both?

There is no new offside rule...

Fdj na average player. He's so overrated. Curbasi will have more passing accuracy & assist than him. I hate those useless turns from him.

Meanwhile, they're saying FIFA don update their offside rule.

[🚨] 𝗡𝗘𝗪: FIFA have approved a NEW offside rule!

⚠️ From now on, an attacker will only be offside if their entire body is ahead of the defender.

🔺Example: In the picture below, this player would be considered onside under the new rule. —[DS Sports]
False news

Either way bro...

Our highline does not make sense again. It's time to totally stop it or reduce it.
Fast paced players would easily beat that highline. You see how Martinez in second leg against inter out-ran cubarsi resulting in the foul that lead to their second goal.

Let's reduce the highline a bit.

Neither has been playing the role well because Pedri has been doing double duty. Let's face the fact.

Why do you want Cassado sold ? I am fine with FDJ being sold for the right price sha

If both where to be sold ,who should be the replacement ?

Why's it that no matter how good of a season ferran has
He'll most likely not be considered to be a starter for us by most of the fanbase. Almost no one wants him to be the lewandowski replacement

Even I don't want him to be our starter and in have no idea why..

Barca bought him for over £50m from Man. City after all the hyping; his first impression in his first season didn't convince the fans, so Barca saw him as unreliable and continued searching for a backup striker to help.

Even after he started showing improvements, it came in flashes, He was very good at positioning and movement though, but overtime the faith in him slowly died off.

Same fate may befall Rashford, if he fails to deliver soon.

He's not tailor made for a striker role just as a false nine or auxiliary winger, watch him against inter last season and you'll see the defects

Aswr...even if 0-roro play 1 match and they lift the cup, his fans will still defend him and compare it to Messi.

I want to see Ororos face after they're eliminated from that WC,and see the energy his fans brag about up untill 2030.😂😎

He's the kind of striker that gives opponent defender confidence 😂

I don't see a fear factor in him.

Nope. We still have hope in him and some flickers of faith. But we cannot totally rely on him as our front runner for the 9.

The new offside rule has been approved, although I don't like it. We can't do much with this new offside trap... After the Newscastle match, I will comment.

So we will play our match against Valencia in this tiny 6000 seater Joan Gamper Mini Stadium. Tickets will only be available for members.

I hope the fans will make the place as intimate as possible so we can get all the 3 points post -international break.

Ee be like na English language be the problem.

"Approved" and "taking effect" are two different things.

While the time it would take effect is not yet certain but doesn't mean it has not been approved.

We still have time to change our style of defending.

Playing highline is the hallmark of Hansi Flick's system. He is not going to change it anytime soon. You have to believe in your style and make it work. That's the only way you can be successful at it.

The highline has to be reduced or fully stopped.
Should the new rule take effect, that system of defending won't help us against very good teams with fast paced players and attackers.

We will concede alot of goals. A lot of it.

He can start teaching the defenders how to defend in a different way.

I would support the highline anytime but with this new rule. NAH we ain't surviving playing highline.

there something called "ADAPTABILITY"
if you to don't adapt to the ever changing times
you'll be on the loosing end
that could be case of mourinho (arguably)

Where then is the place for identity and originality? Yes you must adapt but you have to retain those identities that make you unique. This was why Barcelona defined an era in the world of football.
