Oga, how much do dey pay in this France you are talking about? Àbí u think we don't have Nigerians in Europe? Everything you guys exaggerate, like we are in stone age.

Electricity is currently more expensive in Nigeria than France.
You get what you pay for.

Monthly power bill in France : 195000 naira
Monthly power bill Nigeria: 20000-50000 naira

I hope you are aware the government is paying trillions of naira as subsidy for this same purpose, so tell me how it's not a profitable venture.
Subsidy costs: 1 trillion naira.

Amount needed to fix Nigerian power per year; 10 to 15 trillion naira

You get what ye pay for . A fact of living

sir, your view is wrong. Things don't work this way. You think taxing people to death automatically translates to good service. You must be kidding.

Google is there to make your comparison.
Okay, enjoy your poor light. You are paying for it

When making these comparisons you can just convert the money and say one is cheaper. There are other factors you have to add to it. Standard of living, cost, minimum wage and those economic jargons

Moving the goalposts on his behalf, I see.

The person i responded to said power was cheaper in france than in nigeria.

Anyway, when it comes to cost of things, wages and earnings are irrelevant. If you cannot afford cost reflective tarrifs for power, get a side hustle.

You get what you pay for.

While Tinubu is enjoying 24 hours light in France, chai!
Even in Aso rock, 24/7 electricity is not a priority to average Nigerians so they just endure the darkness

You don't even get what you pay for, majority of businesses that spend a lot on diesel can afford this, will they get unlimited supply of power of they pay?

You get what you paid for. If this fact makes you sad, I can't help you, but I can tell you that not everything in life favors us.

Because y'all pay what should be paid to guarantee 24/7 light. Here in Nigeria, we don't.

Oga stop tying trash and face reality. How is France people paying more when

Minimum wage per month in France is 1426 Euros = 2.5 million NAIRA

Minimum wage per month in Nigeria is 70000

Just know that God will judge all of you for putting Nigerians in abject poverty.

Okay, since we are too poor to have 24 hour light a day, therefore let there be no light.

And there was no light.

Book of nairaland chapter 2 verses 1-3.

cheesy

You want things to be free. You don't want to pay for anything, because you believe everything should be free.

Well, that's magical thinking. It's also why I can't continue discussing with you. I can't talk with someone who believes in magic money trees or pots.

Good morning.

How many 'Billions' are you spending to restore it? That is the core of the question.

We were and have been underpaying for power for decades. That's why it is so poor

But really you are here to play politics , not to discuss issues

Good evening. It's no use
Silly talk.....compare how much an average Frenchman earns and how much he is required to pay for electricity monthly.

Then compare how much an average Nigeria earn and how much ur government is demanding to be paid for electricity and see that u lack common sense.

You get what you pay for.

When buying things, no one asks after your salary so that they can adjust prices

Thank you for calling me silly too.

Then start your blames from the government and the country at large to some extent.....major percentage can't pay for what the electricity companies are asking for.

You can't give what you don't have.
Stop making it look like average Nigerians are to be blamed.

Yes government is responsible, but at the end you get what you pay for and that includes the government, the rich and the poor.

Thanks for missing my point, comrade
