President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described his recent meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron as “productive,” noting that discussions between the two leaders centered on strengthening cooperation between Nigeria and France.

The President disclosed this in a post on his official X handle on Wednesday, saying both leaders agreed to deepen bilateral ties to promote “mutual prosperity and global stability.”

“Had a productive lunch with President Emmanuel Macron. We reviewed key areas of cooperation between Nigeria and France and agreed to deepen our partnership for mutual prosperity and global stability,” Tinubu wrote.

Tinubu on Vacation in Europe

Tinubu’s meeting with Macron comes as he continues his 2025 annual vacation, which commenced on September 4. According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President is spending 10 working days between France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.

The vacation follows a two-week official trip to Japan and Brazil in August. In Japan, Tinubu attended the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Yokohama and held bilateral meetings with Japanese leaders and investors. He later proceeded to Brazil for a state visit at the invitation of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Whaoo! See fine shine-shine eagle eyes of your president in 2027 till 20231. Obi wishes he gets this kind eagle eyes so he can see his defeat far from now to avoid wasting his money on fruitless campaign that will not lead him to anywhere in 2027. Give three gbosas to your able president that is in France now. Don't eat food until you give him that three gbosas because it is a cure to your political ignorance and hatred
