When inanities are elevated to absurd levels, this is what you find.

As the number citizen of the State, he must lead by example by abiding to those archaic dress codes he gleefully prescribes for hapless civil servants in the State.

To think that he even had to go into the archives to source for outdated dress codes of the year 2009, speaks volumes of his mental state.


Beards, fingernails, bla bla bla have suddenly become the most pressing of all his numerous priorities.

The man should quietly take these "Lord Lugard's laws" back to the shelves where they rightly belong.

Workers should dress smart to work.BUT the ban on beards is infringement on fundamental human rights of Deltans/Nigerians.For Goodness sake, the Nigeria constitution supersedes Delta State Civil Service Law.
At least it should be well-trimmed beards not total ban on beards.
I hope a human right lawyer/NBA take this up.Nigerian workers fundamental human right should not being trampled upon under the guise of dress code.The focus should be on EFFICIENT DELIVERY OF ASSIGNED JOB/TASK.
Delta State government should think on how to make the working space more comfy so workers can deliver efficiently.Imagine wearing suit to a office where the air conditioner is not working and no good ergonomic chair.

So please differentiate between bushy beards ban and well trimmed beards that is not affected by the rules.

in a saner clime, they should reduce the powers of Governors in Nigeria by removing the immunity clause.

This particular Governor should be ashamed to make such public statements. This Governor earns the highest allocation in the whole country and has done next to nothing in his state to show the humongous volume of funds through FAAC, Ecological Fund and 13% derivation that he receives.

He is talking about beards.

Bushy beards and unkempt hair are a very good sign. Bushy beards means a man does not care about his appearance but is focused on his job. Me all I care about is productivity. I can employ a man who wears dirty clothes like the standard Nigerian mechanic. Just do your job is all I care about. Me I avoid employing flashy guys, where do they find the time to be flashy. Look at Mark Zuckerberg who is always in plain T-shirts.
