What exactly is the point being made here?

Two unrelated things can be true at the same time.

Rational, decent people should (and they will) criticize wrongdoing by soldiers - nobody cares if the soldiers are Nigerian or US nationals.

It is not a secret that US soldiers abused Korean women. It is also no secret that US servicemen have been found guilty of rape of Japanese minors (as recently as last year). No sane human being will defend this kind of behaviour.

It is also no secret that Nigerian servicemen have raped Nigerian women during military invasions of Nigerian communities on Nigerian soil. Military invasions by Nigerian soldiers.

Nigerian soldiers have a terrible reputation - and they brought it upon themselves. There's no need for any unnecessary comparison with US soldiers - Nigerian servicemen can do bad all by themselves.

Apologies if you feel insulted but you are speaking from a position of ignorance. South Korea is far better than North Korea in almost all meaningful metric for measuring development, standard of living, wealth and economic progress.
