I hope you’re all doing well. I really need your advice on something.

I’m a 27-year-old guy with a small, skinny body. Most of my life decisions have been influenced by others because I’m always scared of making financial mistakes.

I’m a barber, and I worked as a stylist for about a year and a half before my brother supported me by adding to my little savings and helping me set up a small barbershop here in Ondo State (he lives in Lagos).

It’s been 3 years now, and I’ve managed to save about ₦1.5 million. I have a street brother who has always been nice to me and is currently working on his own house project. He recently advised me to get a plot of land too.

Here’s my dilemma: If I tell my brother about the money I’ve saved, he might ask me to lend him some of it. I’m thinking of buying the land secretly, but I’m scared of making a mistake I might regret later.

Please, what do you think is the best thing for me to do?
And if you have any good side hustle ideas that can help me grow my income, kindly suggest them too.

At 27, you're not too young to make your own decision. Just ensure you do your due diligence before paying.

Ever thought that your brother that supported you that enabled you owned a shop had good intentions for you? It’s better you share your plan with him for guidance even if he would ask you to borrow him part of the money because he invested in you in the first place rather than have that street brother scam you.

Don’t be a greedy person or else you’ll end up losing the money to an outsider.
