nobody is denying igbos their heritage, but don't claim someone's land that accomodated you to prevent death during the civil war.

I couldn't find anything tangible on the internet about ikem but I got a thread on nairaland .I am actually from Kogi and am yet to see anyone claiming to be Igbo in kogi.check out this link.i will ask around

Tiv people didn't fight civil war against the whole Nigeria, so the Nigerian state didn't balkanize Tiv communities nor did they create identity crises among Tiv people using federal government might and power.


You guys still don't know the level of price Igbos paid and still paying for that civil war that ended in 1970.



It's not been easy, when you see an Igbo complain or brag, just look the other way cos he has been through hell under the Nigerian setting but none Igbos won't understand this cos when they are carrying the corpse of someone that is not related to you by blood, it will look like log of wood, not until someone very close to you by blood die, then you will understand how painful death is to the family of the dead

I dont think you guys understand that there are other tribes in Nigeria who actually waged war to take over people's lands and created empires. Thats how Bini empire, Oyo empire, Sokoto empire and Kanuri empire were all created

So count your self lucky that Igbos were never interested in empires or you wouldn't even have had a choice about who you are

Those who claim Igbos are only in the 5 South-East states are either ignorant or deliberately pushing a mischievous agenda.
The truth is clear, there are indigenous Igbos in Edo, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Delta, Benue, and Kogi.

Indiginous Igbos are not only found in Nigeria, Igbos are also found in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
Denial doesn’t change reality, it only exposes their ignorance and dishonesty.

Larger Igbo Society will go a long way championing common cause of Ndigbo, I think what Southeast people are glamoring for is unity of purpose, sharing common ethnicity and brotherhood. Like Yoruba brothers in kogi and edo do.

Igbo has been balkanized since 1966 into Ikwere in Rivers , Anioma in Delta, Igbanke in Edo, Obi in Benue State and iikem in kogi State. Zik once said broken bottles have no metakwalism

Ned Nwoko efforts won't be in vaịn. History will always be kind to him
