Ibos in Kogi? How? Where? Which LGA?
Maybe they think Igala is Ibo. Let me say it here, Igalas are not Ibos, and never will be. If Igalas are looking for who to attached themselves with, it is never Ibo because they don't have anything in common with them.
Language, culture and traditions of the Igalas is closely related to that of the Yorubas. Even our religion is similar, as we both practice same IFA religion.

People that always want to erase people identity and imposed theirs. Abia/ikwerre are good examples of how they will erase your identity and replace them with Ibo language/culture/translation.

You would be correct to say there are Igbos in those areas but wrong to say they are indigenes. Igbos settled in many places probably as spill effect of the war. They are settlers, not indigenes and indigenes can decide to one day ask settlers to go back home.

The efforts by the Lagos people to set the records straight comes to mind. Though they are using some nasty, extreme measures, they are right to nip the bud cos the Igbo's slow expansion is akin to what the fulanis are doing by taking Hausa lands and slowly took Kwara. Now they are venturing south.

There are now youth leaders in some Southern communities and have tried to crown kings in some places like Benin just like the Igbos tried to do in Ghana that caused an uproar.

Nothing wrong in having towns meetings in your area of domicile to cater for your welfare but a situation where you turn around after many years of peaceful hostship by indigenes to try and claim ownership and titles in their land will always be met with resistance. Let's respect our hosts even as we hope that host communities keep being nice to their guests

Some of the most powerful and influential kingdoms in Igboland were rooted in that region.

In fact, European explorers - who often classified peoples into “tribes” by grouping kingdoms and cities with shared culture and traditions - at one point referred to Obi Ossai of Aboh as the King of Igbos.

It's really surprising today to see some Delta Igbos distance themselves from this shared history.

SE is the most dangerous region in the South,that is why rich Igbos hardly go home without protection, even Cubbaba said it. No one is pained by anything,but it's clear why Ned is suddenly pro-Igbo. He knows you need his acknowledging of you like a bee needs a sweet flower. He will use your weakness to get what he wants. Which is to be a governor of the new state .

Igbos would come to your land and steal your culture they admire. Years after they come to tell you that you are Igbo because you are practising the same culture with them. Those who claim Igbos are only in the 5 South-East states are either ignorant or deliberately pushing a mischievous agenda.
The truth is clear, there are indigenous Igbos in Edo, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Delta, Benue, and Kogi.

Indiginous Igbos are not only found in Nigeria, Igbos are also found in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
Denial doesn’t change reality, it only exposes their ignorance and dishonesty.

We have always spread our arms to embrace them. Problem is when they start to distance themselves from the igbos in the south-east because of their desperation to be more One Nigerian than our traducers from the far North and the South West. No igbo man would like to see another igbo man irrespective of locations to be acculturised as a non igbo as is the case with some Ikwerres. At the same time, it's frustrating to be preaching nonstop to your brother to do well and recognise your shared brotherhood. Igbos outside the South East are the ones who need more work to do. Igbos in the South East have always been ready to welcome them back home into the fold with love and joy.

I dont think you guys understand that there are other tribes in Nigeria who actually waged war to take over people's lands and created empires. Thats how Bini empire, Oyo empire, Sokoto empire and Kanuri empire were all created

So count your self lucky that Igbos were never interested in empires or you wouldn't even have had a choice about who you are
