What do we need it for? Which countries are threatening us or our enemies?

In a country that the citizens prioritize their stomach over anything else? Of course my point is about the inevitable outcry that such shouldn't be a priority of the government, but food to the stomach.

Nigerian doesn't even have a functional radar system that fully covers the country. Having an air defence system will be a waste. That's why foreign aircraft freely fly into the country and supply terrorists weapons.

Why do nuclear powers have those weapons, after all no one is waging war on that scale...yet. Better to have it and not need it, it also deters potential enemies.

Iran is able to build big missiles and drones. But its air defence could not stop israeli planes. It couldn’t even detect the USA bomber. Why should a country like us that cant produce toothpick have it?
