You prefer Afang, Atama, etc. probably because they are your native soup. However, that doesn't give you the right to refer to ogwho and banga soup as rubbish. Be guided

Okereke was that fair "harsh" woman. Her office was in the middle of JS3 block. Okoduga was my principal for one year before he left and eventually went to Fieldcrest

Omoni was head girl in my junior years. Even the owner of Interswitch was the first Senior Prefect/Head boy

. There's no technique to cutting it....The person who prepared it probably didn't prepare it well......To make it easier to cut, people normally add salt to it...

Starch from Cassava. It's the thickener. And also the "swallow"
Oh!
How interesting.
I would never have guessed.

Then, it's more likely to get really thick when it gets cold.

Is it a soup that you have cook and eat once without leftovers?

Best "rushed" as e dey hot. But it can be refrigerated and warmed. There's a way they warm it to keep the thickness. And yes it gets super thick when cold. Some people use garri instead of starch in a pinch, but the 5-star generals that cook it at home in Delta use Starch. With several obstacles, particularly imekpe (shelled periwinkle), snails, dried fish...different things

I would say it's somewhat similar to Ofe Owerri.

So sorry about this but the soup looks....terrible. Can't you guys do anything about presentation. I mean African cuisine is really low on looks. One of the reasons why we are not up there with the rest of the world despite our population and travel.

Re: "The Myth Behind Owoh Soup" by Odiriance4all(m): 6:09pm On Sep 12, 2025
Initially, I was not fond of the soup because I did not enjoy its taste when I first tried it However, after I got married, my mother-in-law prepared the owoh soup for me during her omugwo visit, and it was exceptionally delicious. Since then, I have become an admirer of the soup.
