Those soup you mention are great and delicious, owho soup is delicious also and legendary. You don’t have to call someone’s food rubbish, one man’s food is another man’s poison. White man go still see something wrong with those food you mention
Yeah wrong word of choice to use.

But owoh soup is another less tastier version of white soup.

Cos ur basically getting the taste of the soup from the meat broth( bother the white and owoh soups)

You prefer Afang, Atama, etc. probably because they are your native soup. However, that doesn't give you the right to refer to ogwho and banga soup as rubbish. Be guided
Wrong choice of words.

However even efo riro, okea soup, and egusi soup( prepared well with plenty vegetable) are tastier than owoh soup.

Banga is just palm oil.

Be guided

Maybe the person that prepared the one you ate didn’t do justice to the cooking.

If you like, list the different types of soup you know, that's not the issue. This thread is about the myth of ogwho soup so if you want to criticize be objective about it, not calling it rubbish. It speaks a lot about your IQ. You even had to drag banga soup to it trying to make it an ethnic thing. Be guided...

You are not serious! I eat owoh soup often, I love it but saying it is must in every occasion is gibberish!
Is it that others don't have their own food? What if I tell you that Ewedu or Okazo is a must in every occasion?

Groundnut soup is no longer common among household in Benin like it used to be. I believe the owoh soup is more common in Benin now than groundnut soup due to the fact that in Benin, owoh soup is used to eat not only starch but also yam and plantain..

When I was growing up in Benin, we used to have varieties of soups signature to the Edos only but as of today almost all of those soups are extinct. Now all we know is ogbono, egusi and the traditional black soup.
