The consignments, which were awaiting shipment to poor nations through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), were instead incinerated following the shutdown of the agency by the Trump administration

Despite offers from organisations including the United Nations, the Gates Foundation and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation to take possession of the contraceptives, U.S. officials insisted that no eligible buyers were available.


“President Trump is committed to protecting the lives of unborn children all around the world,” said Russell Vought, head of the White House Office of Management and Budget, now overseeing USAID’s winding down.

“The administration will no longer supply abortifacient birth control under the guise of foreign aid.”

The Times, however, reported that the inventory reviewed contained no abortifacients, only birth control designed to prevent ovulation and fertilisation.

Belgian authorities attempted to stop the destruction, with Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot writing to the U.S. Secretary of State, but the intervention only delayed the incineration.

USAID has always been known as a decoy to fund terrorists in poor nations, most especially Africa.

Those aids, were stored for a long time I think Belgium and has expired. Thanks for not sending expired and test vaccines to Africa

Not true! I personally worked with USAID on contraceptives for several years. They were top quality. Of course, some of our local people are criminals who have diverted funds and activities for their own gain and other nefarious activities, but the supplies were real. Not only did they provide contraceptives, they also equipped several government and private hospitals in Nigeria and paid their staff stipends.
