Seems APC clowns are still mulling over the Nepali protest... The same people that called for protest during Jonathan government. |

Track record matters... I'm not holding brief for them. Age shouldn't be a discriminatory factor if the candidate is fit mentally and physically to carry out the responsibilities of office. How old was trump when he was elected Joe Biden was 78years and American has the biggest democracy. The average age of the US top 10 oldest presidents is 71 years! And I believe this person would hold the position until power is handed to someone else! |

obonujoker:So what?, wailers always sulking over protest during Jonathan's regime. Was there no protest during Buhari's regime?. Have you not done up to four different protests under this current administration?. Abeg rest. |

brain54:Well you maybe right, but i don't think is the best, we should look at past record from younger ones make them leaders. Look at the faces of people from 70-90 years leading us and compare it to when they were 40-65 you would see obvious difference (Depreciating) , this also affects their brains that is highly needed to carry out responsibility. So, how can such people be able to take us where we are supposed to be within a planned Developmental framework? It would only end on try, errors and permutations. 70, 80 and 90years would wake-up in the morning and still seat on the bed for like 20-30 minutes before thinking of doing anything, while 30-50 wakes up and immediately leaves the bed in preparation for the day's activities. This is the reality. Let me tell you a story. I once worked with a white man that, even if he had left his office while going out for a meeting and sees you in the corridor or reception area with documents would ask you, are they for me, if yes is the answer, he would collect it from you right there, review it and sign it. This is the way to go. |

The problem with most revolutions is that there is hardly a post revolutionary plan, but revolutions are necessary because power corrupts even noble men! |

obonujoker:They're seriously terrified about the possibility of such earthshaking revolt in Nigeria. They know they're long overdue to be served one, and so they sleep with one eye open, they walk afraid of their shadows. NADECO activists who even hyjacked a plane to force the hands of Abacha, are now telling us that protests will be counter productive! All of a sudden the same set of people that burned all the tires in Nigeria at Ojota, while burying mock coffins ⚰️ of Jonathan all over the Southwest, are now preaching "caution" to the rest of us. They don't like protests anymore. They will restart after Tinubu is gone.. Cunning Cunning ppl |

correctyourself:You are also right... And no shoe actually fits all. These things are circumstantial. Your story about an old man leaving his bed after 20 minutes made me remember my university days. They was this young man of not more than 25 years in the school hostel who would wake up early in the morning and sit on his bed staring blankly for about 20 minutes. Nothing you tell him at that moment enters his head...he would just be answering you absent mindly. We used to make a lot of fun then and poke him that his brain was boothing and powering like a computer. That's why I said it depends on how fit a person is mentally and physically to do his responsibilities. The story about the white man is also relative for want of a better word. A person that wants to work and be productive irrespective of age would work...as far as his mind and body carries him. It all depends on the mental capacity and approach to work... they are 80 year olds that would also pick up the file and do the needful when necessary.... and boss believe me they are 40 year olds that would kick you off with your file telling you they are done for the day. It's just approach and zeal to work and cause positive change by the particular individual involved. Some unfit people at 100 would still sacrifice their safety, health and comfort to do what is necessary to be productive and cause positive changes! |

This op is very far from wisdom. What's the reason for their protest? What were they against? You think their agitation is against age? Corruption? Or a better government? The op like most Nigerians genz or X are shortsighted. She's the most qualified for the job and she has a very good track record to back it up. Ohh you were probably expecting them to support an unknown person with no experience or records to handle the affairs of a nation? Even if you're a kid it's better you be quiet that speak when you're not supposed to. All you people care about is BBN, Hilda Bassey, Sadia BoJ and whatever and the rest distractions plus a little crumbs thrown here and there by your favourite corrupt public office holders and your life is paradise. Fight for your rights, you won't. People have fought for theirs and you think you're qualified enough to criticise their choices Lol let's all keep being distracted by irrelevant things and people while others build their future as a nation and then come next election we play tribal and party sentiments 😂 |

You're missing the point because you're trying to justify docility. They were not after old people in power, they were after corrupt people in power. Do you want them to remove the old cortupt guys and handover to young inexperienced cortupt youths? The woman they handed over to was a woman known for anticorruption whom they have said should be handed power to but the political class refused so they removed the political class and handed power to the woman themselves. They set out to do something and in unison, they achieved it. They have over 163 languages but were united to achieve this. Finally, no future government will ever take them for granted. This is the most significant outcome of their actions; they conquered IMPUNITY! Mente50: |
