Naija way of life. Not new to me or you we all know how it has always been.

How can they ever be the same? No be for this life. Abi officials no go collect share and tell athletes that money had not been provided? They are never ready and always expect sports people to easily win. No proper training facilities, no follow up, no financing, nothing, yet we hear of the humongous amounts provide by government. Most end up embezzled.

Why should we blame sports people who choose to represent other countries, seeing the wickedness of those in authority? And those in authority shamelessly tell us that sports unify Nigerians. If that’s the only thing that unifies Nigerians, why not make the sports people proud of what they do for the country?

The other day, a bicycle for Olympics cost 10k USD or was it 40k . Is that what Nigeria can easily afford to use for training like other developed countries?

We were referred to as a wealthy nation and the golden crown of the continent.

We had a Buhari, and now the current king.

It is not as this is our first time of participating in athletics global tournaments wearing quality track suits and jerseys.

This is just too bad. Funny enough IOC would have disbursed money to the Nigerian Sports Federation for this competition but those at the elm of affairs will rather embezzle the funds. And you expect these athletes not to switch allegiance to another country. Smh

Very heart breaking my sister. Na the low level wey corruption and greed carry us put be that. The monies have been chopped long before it got to the supplier of that kit. If you can switch allegiance, by all means pls do. We never ready for good life here. Even those chopping all these monies are suffering too but they are too blind to see

They don't even pay for the kits... it's team endorsement and sponsorship.

Nike, Adidas and others pay the National teams sponsorship deal and supply the jersey and kits free.

You can do a research on it.

What happened here is that the sport federation or the Nigerian Olympic committee negotiated deals from useless and unknown sport companies for personal favors.
