of course yes,you can live a normal life as long as you're taking your medication regularly at some point the virus can even be undetectable but that doesn't mean you don't have it,you can get married, give birth without having hiv positive children, there are diseases worse than HIV,of which cancer of any part of the body is one of them,pray you don't have cancer, you can't think of anything else,cos the pain is excruciating and most times it's a terminal disease except it's detected early enough.

From day1 I knew HIV isn't that deadly as they've made us to believe. These people just wanna keep smiling to the bank.




I learnt that was how gonorrhea killed people many years ago, Africans even attributed it to spiritual attack. Today you can walk into a pharmacy and get drugs that would flush it outta your system within few days.


After they've achieved their aim they would make HIV drugs available to everybody like paracetamol.

Gonorrhea is a bacteria that can be cured by antibiotics provided a person dont keep contacting it as the body can develop resistance to antibiotics. HIV on the other hand is a virus and can only br managed. The drugs are also not cheap. Perhaps, people are getting it in Nigeria due to subsidy from countries like the US or UK else those drugs can easily cost over 1000 dollars a year.

The pills give some patients issues they never had prior to contracting the disease, organ issues kidneys, liver, heart, and even weight gain, obviously abnormal fat lodgement etc, it is pertinent to understand that the damage the disease itself can cause even before death occurs far outweighs what complications the pills to tackle the virus come with, those who already have the disease either by carelessness or bad luck must go for the pills but not expect a totally smooth ride, it is best to be very careful, one FAITHFUL sexual partner (avoid sex workers), proper examination before BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS, own and make personal all SHARP OBJECTS used.

Stop lying to sell your product. Nobody said people with HIV can't strive and survive. Nobody said medicines are out of reach.

That used to be true back in the day, but its no longer that way. With ARVs, people living with HIV are living long, normal lives. I have seen it myself. The real problem now is stigma, not even the virus.

You've seen them live long...abi?
How old are you?
How old is the patient you know?
How long has the patient bn with the sickness?

That person you think is living a normal life is living in fear.
He/she will be scared to fall into anything that will take him/her to hospital especially when blood relate issue is involved.

I just want to let you know that you have no control over the manner and time you'll die unless you plan to commit suicide.

Let me shock you, majority of people that have HIV didn't even know how they got it, some got it as an infant, some got it through blood transfusion in those days and are still managing it till now, so how could they have known to avoid it.

Some men that swing both ways got it and gave to their wives unknowingly how could they have avoided it. You can never be too careful but if it happens, then you just have to manage it.

Like I said before fate happens, you just have to do your best and hope it's enough, you can't even do enough for cancer.

Lol you are truly ignorant, I work in a health facility and I have seen people on medication for more than 20 years.

If you can make further research, you'll find out that HIV 2 which is more prevalent in West Africa can go without symptoms for more than 20 years without medications and I'm not kidding.

In fact many people can be living with HIV 2 right now and they may never find out till they die.

you can have an immune deficiency through poor diets/malnutrition or other unhealthy lifestyle (see Biafra civil war, Gaza war)

Still displaying ignorance, the person in question is still alive and can live for another 30 years all things being equal, AIDS can't kill the person anymore as long as the person is on HAART.

If a thirty year old person lives with HIV for 50 years, is that not old age, life expectancy in Nigeria is not even up to 60.

Magic Johnson has been living with it for 33 years too.

Cure your ignorance HIV even takes up to 10 years to manifest without medication.

There are diseases that can kill you faster than HIV and people are using medication for them too for the rest of their life deal with it.

We are not saying you should go and get Infected because there's is medication for it but shit happens and if it does, there's remedy.

Bottom line is, HIV can't kill anymore with the medication on ground unless the individual doesn't know.

Talking about normal life, only can define what's normal to you because right now, there is an injection that can be given to patients every 3 months and that's it, no pill or anything.

So how is the patient not living a normal life.?
