Somedays the skin is very red someday its not very red
Yes to my knowledge I did but maybe I am doing something wrong but he is still itchy after the bath
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by Jey24: 10:03pm On Aug 17, 2025
I even bought him simparica tab nd gave him the redness is still there and the itching
I bath him today with medicated soap and the redness calmed down but after a while he itched it when I wasn't looking and now its back to being red again
I don't know if there is anything I can do to help it like supplement I'm currently giving him zito oil booster too

Have you checked your surroundings and fumigate all cracks and crevices? Also what bath are you using?

At this juncture, you'll need to take a screenshot of the affected area, let me examine it.

Please this is very important.

I had 3 dogs in the past and all died within a year while they were about 1-2 years old. Two of them had swollen stomach and got weak then died. The third one probably died of parvo not so certain.

We investigated and the only thing I can consider dangerous in my compound is frogs/toads. Don't know which one's common in areas like this. I'm guessing toads.

The thing is nothing can be done about those frogs/toads entering our compound. And you know these dogs put just everything moving they can chase into their mouth.

The question is how can I raise a dog in this same compound? Am I to give up on ever raising dogs here?

Good morning, trust your day is starting up great! From your write up sir, my sincere advice is that you get a cage for them and ensure they are strictly in the cage. I will be on standby in case of further questions

Please this is very important.

I'll suggest you buy a muzzle, the big ones like nets, so they can back and breathe well but they can't eat

Hope it helps

It is very okay provided they are comfortable and it does not cause any distress

Doc I noticed since yesterday my Lhasa pup 8weeks has two swollen things inside of his penis and it goes away on its own after sometimes
4days earlier I noticed he was licking him self everytime and Trying to climb my leg like he is on top a female dog which he did several times even today after noticing those swollen things apart from his testicles
I checked just now and I saw that some discharge dried up in his hairs over there and more still coming out
Not like water but h cn tell it’s wet
I don’t know if it’s because he just peed like 10 min ago as but how long does this phase last
Ps he does this to only me
This is all new to me
I have had a besenji male dog before and I never experience all this

Baba you dey stress Dr Seun o.

If you change your dog's diet, his poop colour will definitely change, until his system gets used to it, that's the type of poop he'll you'll see. As long as he's not showing any other symptoms, your dog is fine.

Hello everyone. I lost my 4 months rottweiler to parvo on Saturday. We were so down I had to promise myself not to get pets again apart from chickens. Hubby called me this evening that he has gotten another puppy. Though I wasn't happy but my son was the opposite.
Please can you put me through on how to take care of this one because I wouldn't want anything to happen to this. The puppy is 3 to 4 weeks but breed not known yet. Thanks in advance

Good evening ma and congratulations. First of all good environmental hygiene is very important please maintain it, secondly ensure his vaccination schedule is up to date, thirdly ensure regular check up and feed with balanced diet. I'll be on standby for further guidance.

Thank you. Can you suggest diet for him please?

I noticed he couldn't sleep or stay in one place unless you cuddle him. It has been lickings his front pur and I noticed there is a wound there and that leg has been making him restless. It's only brings out clear fluid and there's nothing there

Good day, Doctor.
In July Caucasian suddenly stopped eating, it grew weaker and died in less than 3 days. My other dog, German Shepherd suddenly picked up similar symptoms. I got a vet who administered 5 days injection antibiotics and vitamin last month. The dog still barely eats, is weak and struggles to walk till now.

What did your Vet diagnose? That will guide our next step meanwhile keep her hydrated with glucose solution and multivitamins especially vitamin C, also try to give her her favorite food hopefully she will take it. Also prepare to take her to the clinic for full medical examination. I'll be on standby
