- they carried out the first ever military coup
- brought about the current unitary system in their bid for conquest and subjugation which backfired
- soiling the name of the country on social media and abroad with all sort of vices
If by now you haven’t realized that their secession cries is a blackmail tool they deploy anytime they lose out in their political calculations, then you still have a lot to know about

Ibos dominated the public and civil service during the Balewa administration because of the NPC/NCNC alliance government. In 1964 when NPC formed the government without the NCNC alliance, Ibo officers plotted a coup and killed every single senior civilian and military leader from all other region except eastern region.

So you see, Ibo’s perpetual call for secession since 1966 was simply as a result of their inability to dominate the rest of the country and not because they’ve been sidelined at the federal level.

During the Jonathan administration when they were in full control, did you hear any call for secession? Immediately Buhari took over, they formed IPOB and started making the secession noise again.

See, the secession thing is a way of gaslighting the rest of the country and nothing else. We’ve seen through the secession shenanigans and we are no longer moved by it. Ibo are getting their fair share in Nigeria just like any other ethnic group. In fact, Nigeria has been more than fair to them considering how they’ve been integrated back to the country after declaring war on the country.

We will not handover the leadership of the country a la carte to anyone simply because they are blackmailing the rest of us with victimhood and secession. Anyone that want to be president will contest and win fair and square.

Here’s what Awolowo had to say about Igbos secession in 1967. Problem with most of you is ignorance mixed with mischievous agenda.

On May 1 1967 at a meeting of Leaders of thought of Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo made the following declaration:

“I consider my duty to Yoruba people in particular and to Nigerians in general to place four imperatives, two of them categorical, and two conditional.
(1) Only a peaceful solution must be found to arrest the present worsening stalemate and restore normalcy.
(2) The Eastern Region must be encouraged to remain part of the Federation
(3) If the Eastern Region is allowed by acts of omission or commission to secede from or opt of Nigeria, then Western Region and Lagos must also stay out of the Federation.
(4) The people of Western Nigeria or Lagos would participate in the Ad hoc Constitutional Committee or any similar body only on the basis of absolute equality with other Region of the Federations.”

Awolowo said Nigeria will cease to exist if Igbos are allowed to leave. What does that tell you?

the way Nigeria is structured, ethnic nations that control a state can never ever be relegated, zeebos control at least 6 to 7 states in Nigeria, the states means indigenous government officials ( zeebows officials ) will always receive funds.

if zeebows were marginalized then that means since 1970 they have not received any allocation from the FG and they have never held any Federal Government political appointments, and never been governors, senators, local government chairmen in their own states. Whether he's able to do it or not, just know it that the past will replay someday and that's why we keep preserving it and passing it on orally since the perpetrators stopped history in school. Even if it takes 1000years or the country divides, the evils of yesterday and today will be revisited someday for others to learn. For now, everyone can continue with the pretence
