No Federal Agency wants to lose control of it's database and feel extremely reluctant to share info with sister agencies..
That's why we have a plethora of databases all across the country.
Every bloody agency wants to have its own database, duplicating the process several times over on the populace with attendant costs.
Police wants to have their own
NIMC has theirs
CBN has theirs
FIRS has theirs
INEC has theirs .
And that's just at federal level o
Every Tom Dick and Harry wants to run it's own private database instead of loading onto a singular point and share access to all government. Running multiple databases is very expensive, time consuming and extremely ineffective and inefficient.
That's why when NIMC server goes down.. anything relating to NIN processing/validation falls apart.

God bless you. Been trying to reprint my lost NIN slip for 3yrs now. Anywhere I go they say my number or finger bring don't bring up any account and have not been able to go to NICM office cuz am a busy person. Been using bvn for almost 10yrs without issue now, infact any transection I need in bank required only my finger print and everything will comes up. Don't know why government keep spending on nons** data base when bvn has been there for years.

The NTA Act is very clear and unambiguous.

4. Every taxable person shall register with the relevant tax authority and
obtain a Taxpayer Identification (Tax ID) for the purpose of compliance
with tax obligations.

financial services in Nigeria shall ensure that every taxable person provides a
Tax ID.

Therefore, the law has made it compulsory for every taxable person to undergo REGISTRATION with relevant tax authority.

No FIRS official can twist or modify any law other than the National Assembly.

Only an amendment can fix the very obvious duplication of numbers.

If an account holder with any bank has no job but have money in his/ her account, are they going to be paying task from the little they have in that account?
I believe tax should be deducted from individual that earn thru jobs they do, not taxin those who have no jobs. And I believe that people who have jobs and businesses should be the ones paying tax and not those that are struggling to even get at least a little going for them.

Small small people will resort to having safe box n mini vault in there house if they mess with their funds in their accounts.
