Petroleum Industry Act (Amendment) is approved.
- NNPC structures gets weaker
- NUPRC & MOFI get stronger
The Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) stipulated that the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI) and Ministry of Petroleum Incorporated (MOPI) each held 50% of the Federal Government's shares in the oil and gas sector. However, with MOPI reportedly scrapped, MOFI now assumes control of 100% of the shares, deviating from the PIA's original framework. This development follows intense lobbying ( slots sharing & funds), and it's rumored that the Permanent Secretary's signature on the relevant document prevented potential repercussions though he drafted his observation before signing the document (wise decision). With MOPI dissolved, MOFI and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) are poised to play pivotal roles in the sector, offering attractive huge remuneration packages to both agencies. Congratulations to current and prospective MOFI staff on this significant development.

1. MC of APPO will determine. The next Ordinary Session of the Ministerial Council of the African Petroleum Producers' Organization (APPO) is scheduled to take place in Congo before November. This session aims to further discuss the progress and development of the African energy sector, including the launch of the Africa Energy Bank in Nigeria, which is expected to be finalized during this meeting. Let’s wait for the outcome of the MC-APPO session. The commencement date will be much more clear after the session.

BOI
2. To the best of my knowledge, the Bank of Industry has concluded the selection & slots sharing process. However, the Managing Director has not made public on a specific date for the release of appointment letters. The timing of the release appears to be at his discretion. I have no idea either for now but a reliable staff said before December.

Una funny. You think "connection" of that magnitude that can do all that at the end can't put your name for "formality"exams in the beginning. Lol. I know someone that got into camp for DeSnakeSnake a week to camp finishing. Connect was presidential. So keep calm. Make th3m no give you lie chop. Believe if you want to. I am talking out of experience with this same customs job. My eye see shege.

Guys, what could be the reason to delay in appointment letter?

Like getting invited for physical documentation but Apl isn't ready for collection?

Wow. Thank you for the update. Furthermore as regards BOI,
So you are effectively saying it's too late to submit CV for this next batch? Secondly, does it mean interviews will not be conducted this time around?
Lastly, have they in any way reached out to the prospective candidates in anyway since CVs were received, before talking about the issuance of Apls? Thank you so much in anticipation of your response. 🙏🏽

'Prospective MOFI staff' shocked
ZARAMITE:

However, with MOPI reportedly scrapped, MOFI now assumes control of 100% of the shares, deviating from the PIA's original framework. This development follows intense lobbying ( slots sharing & funds), and it's rumored that the Permanent Secretary's signature on the relevant document prevented potential repercussions though he drafted his observation before signing the document (wise decision).
