Awww. What kinda useless caterer is that? Nigerians sef love wedding food too much. Since the wedding is done, the guests should just go home and eat at their house. Is it by force to eat wedding jollof? If they want to blame anyone, they should blame the caterer, but I think the hosts themselves should've gotten a better caterer. They must've hired someone cheap and unserious. Oh well.

They went for a low budget and unprofessional caterer when Peter Obi can easily give them the best of the best services.

The caterer better no just come again, because the kind beating wey they go collect na wotowoto seasoning

TBH, between house agents and caterers,I don't know which one will be the first to get the first slot of hell fire .

Nonsense like this wouldn't have happened if they had cooked their food by themselves....But since everybody wanna be forming woke by employing the services of caterers,such nonsense will continue to happen.

Some caterers are indeed evil......if they aren't hiding food, they're either stealing or hoarding food.....The worst part is that they usually charge high ,and render low and stupid services .

We do not realize it yet but this is part of what is breaking up the extended family.

When I was younger, everyone gets to the celebrant's house or a designated place days before so they can get ingredients and cook and do other things. This was not just about cooking, it was a time to bond as well. You all sleep in the same place, hear each other's stories and get to know those you didn't know before. You get on each other's nerves, settle scores, laugh, eat and do other things as a unit. I hate going to events but I'll definitely be there for the preparation and running around. It's sad those things are gradually dying out.

I attended a wedding in Port Harcourt where exactly the same thing happened. Committee of friends had to go to nearby supermarkets and bought drinks and snacks and shared to guests. Caterer landed with the food after reception had ended say traffic. What the bride's girlfriends did to the Caterer is unprintable.

how does it concern the guests? The family made arrangement for food. Do you organize wedding reception in Nigeria without giving food? Food didn't come and they left. Food came at 6pm - is it bachelor's eve that they are organising?

You wrote plenty things, without making sense. You're a village person, the best way to manage an event is usually to contract it to professional event managers, which includes catering services. That a caterer failed doesn't means the mother or the bride should be the one to cook for the wedding.
In 2021, my little cousin got married in Ondo State, the bride family and the groom families all lived outside Ondo State. You mean in that case they should have moved to Ondo State five days before the wedding day, to start buying the things they will cook?

People just don't value relationships anymore. Everything is transactional now, and that's what's destroying things. The value system has been deeply eroded.

Do you know that the caterer will still be eating your food a month after the party while you will not get anything to eat again?

They're evil. Where food remains, they'll go away with it.

This often happens when the food vendor take up more than one job at a time.

The caterer may not be at fault. You must first know if there was a caterer in the first place or a greedy fellow among the both family that tries to cut corners

You mean 6pm was not late enough?Probably some of the guests could have been in the event hall since 1pm and you expect them not to eat?

The food vendor messed up but bro it's 6pm already it's late everyone should go home besides what are they even doing in the wedding ground by that time because normally na shayo people they remain by that time...
