Former Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, has kicked against the appointment of only 2 Northerners to assume the position of chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC since its inception.

In a post shared on X, Bashir argued that out of the 12 INEC chairman that have have been appointed, 10 are from the South East and South South while only two are from the North.,

The NE has done same for 11 years
The SS for 5 years

The presidency is an elective post. You must campaign and win a national election through the ballot. Anyone talking about marginalization is just klever by half.

INEC chairman is by appointment. If you want to be president, present a viable candidate and let him face the poll.

It is the rigged-in Yoruba anf Fulani presidents that keep appointing non-Yoruba and non-Fulani inec chairmen, so Yorubas willfully marginalised themselves from that position, perhaps as a way to atone for their incompetence

A good example is Rivers state.
In 2015 the PDP gave Jonathan 1.489 million votes and gave APC about 60k votes.
In 2023 what is the total number of votes from Rivers? For the top 3 candidates it's less than 500k.
That only goes to show that parties where writing whatever results they wanted in the past. That's no longer possible with BVAS.
