I wasn't really too happy with my watch performance leading to this year's Emmys as I missed a whole lot of the shows in competition despite having many in sight.

It was a wonderful night with many winners and a more varied winners list unlike last year. There wasn't very clear favourites or dominance like last year except in The Comedy category.

For the very few I watched or limited knowledge since I can't say with full authority having missed most of the shows, I can say that THE PENGUIN should have won for Best Actor easily. Colin Farrell owned that role and should have been a tad above Graham.
But I always knew based on the topic and politics of ADOLESCENCE it was always going to be a tall order to beat it regardless of how good you were.

Asides that, it would seem the Awards show did decently very well this year and handled almost everything well. Not too much controversy as anyone could stake a claim on winning.
I'll try catch up with the shows I planned on watching and possibly come back to this I'm the future or by year's end.

Hoping I don't take this poor run of form to the Oscars 2026 cos I'm seemingly losing steam too. 😩🤧

Naahhh... They left it on the Comedy Cat, but like you said "The Studio" and "Hacks" were far too strong, seems Jeremy Allen White knew the jig was up and he skipped the Award Ceremony last night to go to a Wedding 😂...

And Tbf "The Bear" S3 wasn't really as strong as the ones before it, but we are back next year 🤭

I have some questions though, if she was The Mule, how come she was able to control The fake Mule from worlds away, telling him what to do? I know that Magnifico expands the scope of the power, but surely not across planets.

That final scene is Earth abi? So Robots are chilling on earth? Oloriburuku Brother Day don go cause problem for Brother Darkness. Anyway he has his Black Hole gun.

I was almost disappointed at the fight between Gaal and The Mule , until the reveal.

Anyway, I dey ready for the four season.

7.5/10.

I've never felt such a love love is a very powerful emotion, thats why Gaal couldn't rescue the warden from the grip of the Mule. Also, the fact that the original Mule was already on ground honeymooning with his bf speaks volumes.

If not for the fact that Gaal already tuned magnificos music, she for just love the Mule by force.

Can't wait for Season 4, it'll be very interesting, now that robots are going to be involved, and Gaal escaping by involuntary help from magnifico.

Anyone watching Lord of the Mysteries donghua here? Interesting series if I might say.

The Emmys has sort of hit a plateau in the last few years and it is largely due to HBO scaling back on giving us Sunday Night Bangers!. It's been long they had a long running show, returning for more than 2 seasons like they had with GOT and Succession.

At the height of it, on a particular Emmy Night, HBO will pack so many awards, and leave scraps for other networks. Sometimes they had cast members from the same show, fighting it out in the same cate!.

Now it's open season for every other network, and there are little excitement.... little surprises as at you could easily tell overwhelming fave shows that will carry the night, because quite frankly they aren't competing with a whole lot of quality tbf. Just like Shōgun last year, you could easily tell that "Adolescence" was going to probably be the one to beat this year.

So last night went according to how it was supposed to tbh, the most exciting thing that happened was Hannah Einbinder screaming "free Palestine" out of the blue 😩

So if you aren't particularly religious to see the shows that won this year, i can tell you, you'd be fine, but see "The Pitt" tho lol.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba S1 (2019).

Yeah, it’s pretty decent.

I had been holding off on this while trying to find a good English dub, but in the end I went with the Japanese dub, because hearing it in the native language feels far more grounded, more authentic.

The modern format of “non-filler” seasonal batches that post-2010 anime embraced really works here. No wasted time, no side quests that drag the story, just straight to the point. From the very first episode, Tanjiro returns home to find his family massacred by a demon, and that single moment carves the path that leads him into the Demon Slayer Corps.

The character development arc is excellent, watching Tanjiro grow not just as a fighter, but as someone who carries empathy even for the monsters he faces. I am not particularly sold on the Zenitsu guy yet, but let's see what happens so we go on.

By the end of S1, you feel like you’ve only just stepped into a much larger world, and I can’t wait to see where S2 takes it..

I later heard the adaptation was rushed...

Can't say if it got better but the episodes I watched didn't give me hope at all...

Good animation cannot replace concise storytelling...

it actually got better as the story progressed. The second season is slated for 2027 with 30 episodes. The timeliness for the rest of the seasons is crazy, spanning until 2035.
