the lagos /abuja property can be sold most times. The village one cant be.

Nothing wrong in building 3 bedroom bungalow in the village. Corpers can rent it , or relatives can take over and maintain easily
Who told you the village house cannot be sold? cheesy

If you built your (family) house, you would be hesitant to rent it out, trust me.

It's best to have a caretaker check on things from time to time.

I’ll tell you that not every building in the village is meant to serve the same purpose as a simple rental flat. Architecture is not only about utility—it’s also about legacy, cultural expression, and sometimes even symbolism.

For many families, especially those who have “made it” in the city or abroad, building something massive in the village is their way of leaving a mark, creating a family seat, or honoring their roots. Yes, it may look oversized now, and in some cases, poorly maintained, but at the time of construction it probably represented pride, success, and aspiration.

Also, structures like this don’t always have to stay desolate forever. With proper renovation or adaptive reuse, they can be transformed into guest houses, community centers, boutique hotels, or even heritage homes. So while a flat may have been practical, the mansion carries a cultural weight that flats never could.

In architecture, it’s not just about “who will live here today,” but “what story does this structure tell for generations?”
Barrywilly:
I don't understand why people build super structures like this in the village when a simple 3 or 4 bedroom flat would have been enough, and easily be let out thereafter. Look at how this mansion has turned to a relic and eyesore, wasting away. Who is going to live inside? This structure is going to be desolate forever because it is too massive to be renovated and occupied by a single individual. Infact, it can comfortably house all the entire population of Ezinifite grin.

One of the best there ever can be. I saw him performed once in Akure. Good music! The guy was a genius. Good vocal acuity, solid sound arrangement and superb when it comes to live performance. Music died when Oliver died and music was buried when Michael Jackson died

Same with me. I enjoyed listening to his music even though I'm a Yoruba person. The rhythm is the thing and of course his beard.

Man is long gone to Eternity in Hell or Heaven, based on if he made Peace with JESUS CHRIST before he left this world
.
He did not go along with the Mansion.
He did not go along with all the cars and paparazzi.
He did not go along with his dollars, pounds and naira.

Handle the things of this life with Very light hands. Do not let them control you.
They do not have Eternal value.
They are Deceivers. If you allow them Deceive you, they will Deceive you and Destroy you.

There is more to this life than having this and that.
This world is Home to nobody irrespective of whether you Believe or not.
Every one of us will end up either in Heaven or Hell. These are the 2 Eternal homes for every human.

If you Miss Heaven, you CANNOT miss Hell.

As you journey on this Earth, ENSURE you get NEEDFUL .
The NEEDFUL is the Genuie salvation of your Soul.
The NEEDFUL is a Genuie relationship with JESUS CHRIST.
This alone is what guarantees us Eternal life in Heaven.
Heaven and he'll are just a state of the mind!

I LOVE THE BOLDED.

IT IS A CULTURE CENTRE, IF THEY APPLY THAT HERITAGE HOME WISDOM ANDMAKE SOME MODIFICATION. A NATIONAL ICON DESERVE A LITTLE BIT OF HELP WITH 90% OF THE JOB ALREAD DONE, REMAINING 10%.

HERITAGE HOME BRINGS THE STATE INVOLVEMENT. THEY CAN ALWAYS RECOVER THEIR EXPENSES BY CHARGING ACCESS FEE.
