Pls I've recently been offered a job at wema bank, but as a contract staff. This is after successful interviews, training, screening etc.

However, I've heard a lot about contract staff not being treated well, low salary and no allowances, their pay and benefits is nothing compared to core staff in a bank.

Please what advice do you all have for me, as someone wanting to work as a contract staff in Wema Bank?

Do not accept it. What's the essence of working in an organisation where you will not be happy? I know one guy that was on same salary for 11years in a bank as a contract staff until he resigned in 2024. Instead,try and look for an audit firm and build an enviable career. Audit firms also don't pay good money ,but the experience is valuable.
