Uncertainty Over Governor Fubara’s Reinstatement by gare(op): 10:45am On Sep 17, 2025
When will President Tinubu make an official announcement regarding the reinstatement of Governor Fubara? The prolonged silence is fueling speculation, heightening political tensions, and leaving the public in doubt. Many are calling for clarity and decisive action to restore stability, ensure due process, and reassure citizens of the government’s commitment to democracy and the rule of law.

I think the restatement happens automatically by virtue of the pronouncement, unless the president decides to formally notify the National Assembly to extend the administrator’s tenure.

Wike is under immense pressure from home. He has hurriedly returned and has organised project commissionings commencing on the due date so he can blab. He desperately needs the SOE called off but Akpabio seems to be in favour of prolonging it. Ibas is Akpabio's doing, not Wike. A silent battle is ongoing between the duo for control of the Southsouth. Wike will soon realise that he has sold his people for nought.

There is no need for Mr. President to make any proclamation in respect of ending the emergency rule. The emergency rule ends automatically after 6 months. Mr. President can only make another proclamation if he intends to extend the emergency rule.

When two brothers fight, a stranger inherits their father’s estate.” That is exactly what Akpabio did to Wike. What we want is simply for SIM to return and continue all the abandoned projects, because life in the state has not been easy for us

Is it you that put wike under pressure. See how you are lying that wike and Akpabio are battling for control of SS.

For your info, wike recommended Ibas to Mr President and not Akpabio.

Again no rift between wike and Akpabio. Stop speculating.

Fubara will resume tomorrow and both wike and Fubara have reconciled.

We are proud of our son Wike and on his mandate we stand

Same Wike that publicly said he was neither consulted nor aware of the SOE? When did he then recommend Ibas to the president? Are you admitting that Wike lied on national TV? If so, it won't be the first time anyway. We can all see the reconciliation between Fubara and Wike. It's the kind that occurs between a cockroach and a hen.

P.S: Fubara's security details are already being reinstated but it would be the height of naivety to think this so-called peace between Wike and Fubara is sustainable.
