erad:https://punchng.com/budget-deficit-rises-370-hits-n47tn-under-buhari Look for this part: The PUNCH recently reported that the Federal Government borrowed N6.31tn from the CBN through Ways and Means Advances in 10 months of 2022. This pushed total borrowing from the CBN from N17.46tn in December 2021 to N23.77tn in October 2022. In case "ways and means" is not familiar, it means that CBN prints money and lends to FG. You're trying very hard ![]() |

The real problem of Nigeria today has always been APC emergence into power, and the man behind this problem is not Buhari, but has always been TINUBU. This same Tinubu is the same person that orchestrated the removal of PDP and Jonathan with lies. Now the same government is claiming saint and immune from present day lies, the same lies they spread under previous government |

WizardOfNG:And your own intellect comes from Chat-GPT. We can see how intellectual you are. The same Tinubu that said "na statistics we go chop" wants to argue economics with Obi? I wonder what a man who has no regard for Statistics will know about Economics |

WizardOfNG:ChatGpt is talking about saner climes, not fools in power who looted and locked up palliatives in warehouses, dished out billions for intervention which ended up in private pockets and collected monies in donations both locally and internationally which they still looted by fabricating casualty figures for a virus that Africans were largely immune to. So great was the relationship between the Great Mistake of Daura and his minister for Humanitarian Affairs and disaster management that it was even rumoured he had secretly taken her into his harem. Carry your short memory comot for road. |

givedemwotowoto:Bro... This is 2023 article, 2-3 years after the advise. No nao. Even at that, the article said nothing about printing new notes. CBN always has reserve where they can lend out money to the government. Its still the same money in the economy that CBN is lending the government. When new notes are printed, it still doesn't mean there's more money in the economy because most times the new notes replace the old notes so the market still has the same balance, just new notes. |

Alliswell248:But you're asking Nigerians to trust that Tinubu is fixing the country and vote for him again in 2027? That is too much to ask o. |

erad:In case "ways and means" is not familiar, it means that CBN prints money and lends to FG. Yes it's 2023 and it shows that Tinubu fully knew what Buhari was doing just like the rest of knew and warned Nigerians. Knowing what Buhari was doing, Tinubu fully supported Buhari all the way to the end, and even promised to continue from where he stopped, but "suddenly realized" Buhari destroyed the economy after Buhari handed over to him. |

This is the same way Obi is talking nonsense! It's only when you're in government, when you wear the shoes, that's when you know where it itches! When in government, you'll know the consequences of your actions |

givedemwotowoto:Ways and means does not always mean printing new notes. Most times it's just taking out from the dormant money not actively in circulation and also from the funds with them by commercial banks. Unfortunately, we can't know when it has to do with printing new notes or not. |

WizardOfNG:So why does he and his appointees now blame that government for the so called ways and means debt. Isn't that trying to call a dog a bad name. The contradictions of this government just cannot be white washed and try as they may the grace to run a peaceful administration will continue to elude them as long as they do not take responsibility as a party and as a government that has been in power for a decade now. This government took over from the previous one it assisted into power. It supported that government for long 8 years. This President praised the previous one to high heavens at every opportunity it had. And now it turns 180 degree to accuse it of ruining he economy. Only in Nigeria can such failure and total lack of integrity be rewarded with any sort of electoral win. But Nigerians who do this are suffering for their inability to relate their electoral chioces to their unfortunate experiences. We have no one but ourselves to blame. If we care to remember, the GEJ government was removed for the very reasons that are being excused today. Call it hate, call it anything. Gaslight to high heavens. The absolute truth is that the APC met a bad situation in 2015 and has made it a hundred times worse. |

Zionmdde:I did. Don't make assumptions. In fact from watching how Buhari and his cabal were moving, I stated on this same forum, in 2022, it was the fear of monumental and never-before-seen level of corruption that would be exposed after Buhari left office that was the main reason the Buhari cabal were desperate PBAT did not become President. They wanted a stooge who would cover their monumental looting of Nigeria. No one they did not consider from Jonathan to Lawan, our former SP, to the extent Emefiele, aware of the desperation of the Buhari cabal, even nursed plans to run for the Presidency. Unfortunately for them, PBAT was too well-liked and well-supported by many folks of influence to fail. After Tinubu became President, we have indeed seen the monumental level of corruption typified by how Emefiele owned an Abuja Estate with over 700 Units, plus many, many other assets and with the money he stole reputed to be in billions of dollars. We can imagine what other 'inner crew' members of the gang looted. To then attempt linking PBAT to the direct and economically damaging action Buhari and his cabal took, as many Nairalanders try to do here daily, is the heights of lacking principles, uprightness and fundamental sense of fairness. Especially as we were all alive to witness how Tinubu was ostracise and frozen out of the Buhari Government to then be treated as an enemy of the regime, Speaking and admitting truth always is a Godly and endearing human quality. No one truthful or sincerely Godly can deny the above because disliking Tinubu cannot atone for denying what we were all living witnesses to. |

DOGARA WAS ON POINT. PRINTING AND CONTROLNG NAIRA IS ALWAYS A POLICY OF GOOD MANAGEMENT, GOOD STORE KEEPING AND CLEAN MONEY POLICY MAINTENANCE PROPER MAINTENANCE OF CLEAN MONEY POLICY IS SUFFICIENT TO KEEP THE NMPC, THE PRINTER OF NAIRA AND THE CNN, THE KEEPER AND THE STORER OF MONEY, OCCUPIED PERENNIALY AND MAINTAIN THEIR BUDGETS. NOW, THE CBN, THE NMPC, THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE AND THE GOVERNMENT BY IMPLICATIONS ARE JUST BREAKING THE SUPREME COURT JUSTICE EVERY MINUTE IIN ORDER TO STEAL THE COUNTRY DRY. |

Tinubu set Buhari up. So that Nigerians will give tinubu a thumbs up when he is doing the cleanup. |
| Re: Tinubu To Buhari In 2020 - Print More Naira Notes (Throwback) by givedemwotowoto(op): 6:41pm On Sep 17, 2025 |
ARISHEM:That's your interpretation? That it was easier for him to win if Buhari did a bad job? So the bad job he's doing today in the name of cleanup is so what will happen later? So that Nigerians will vote for him so they can give him thumbs up when he cleans it up later? Omo this is next level reasoning, the world hasn't caught up to your level yet ![]() |

Putinofrussia:He tried to defend himself after the backlash but his message was very clear. There was no misunderstanding. Infact, the follow up clarified what he wrote previously: “The core principle underpinning all of the above is that the federal government must adopt a countercyclical fiscal policy and should not be afraid to spend as much naira as is required to protect the economy." He’s going a similar route, wrecking Nigeria’s economy further |

JAWBONE:Lol. You only make a fool of yourself with the distractive ad hominem antics because you can easily fact check what I submit. Easy to do if you have the sound economic knowledge required, as Omokri does all the time with ease, instead of trying to knock the source which is one of many I can supply with ease, including submission of reknowned analysts, to confirm what is one of many deemed a viable solution to tackle civil 19 lockdown and indeed utilised by nations of the world. In fact the USA, as one example, printed money during the Covid 19 pandemic lockdown so I really cannot understand the purpose of your post. |
