1. Even if you have children, the question who among them will inherit it (God help you if you have more than one wife )

3. is the boy/ girl interested in living in the village
4. Maintenance cost of a building this large is a very tasking job
5. what is the economy value of it, if the child need to sell it
6. After 3 generation what happens to the building

1. In developed countries, building owned by star like this are used as museum, people pay to visit and the proceed is used to maintain it. Oliva, was very popular them and people should be able to come and see his award, pictures, music instruments if his estate plan it well

Exactly. Same question I asked a friend who recently invested in building a mansion in the east. A man well established in the US, all his kids born there, schooled and have started working. Yes he says some day he will retire to naija, but will that happen? Will he sell his business (legecy) in the US to return to naija? Ok even if he does come, when he passes on what happens to that mansion? Buildings so personalized they cannot be sold.

What you don't understand is, in Igbo land, if you like build mansions all over the place, if you have not built a befitting house in your father's house, you will not be regarded.
As long as there are people in your father's house, the house will not be empty, and you will have a house to come home to.
