Business mogul Aliko Dangote has announced that his newly built six-million-ton cement plant in Itori, Ogun State, will not serve the Nigerian market.

According to him, the facility is dedicated 100% to export, boosting foreign exchange earnings and strengthening Nigeria’s global trade presence.

Overtime it will be sold to Nigerians because foreigners will find better options and the market will slowdown, prompting the owners to look inwards.

And in the candid opinion of every objective mind, there's no wrong in that.

Nigeria currently operates an open market where investment prospects are open to all and sundry, so if other billionaires will rather sit and watch Dangote milk the opportunities, then it's in no one's place to lament about monopoly.

So Dangote is now using Nigeria's mineral resource to produce products for exports only.. he will sell cement to Nigerians at unreasonable prices but go elsewhere to sell at cheaper rates..
I hope he is paying Ogun State Govt. good money before taking out limestone from the State?
I don't know why Nigerians are so comfortable being unfairly treated and exploited by some so called investors.

They don't have a clue but they keep attracting investors? Govt job is not to create job, but to create an enabling environment that will attract investors and other businesses minded people. They must be doing something right.
