I had a bad feeling once Bayern kicked off the game and Enzo was one of those pressing highest. The way he has become shaky at even the basic things, from dribbling with the ball to making short passes, is painful to see as a huge fan of his. His single most impressive skill, his passing, is now so often atrocious. His fall off has been painful to witness, but there were glimmers of hope from the game against Brentford. Which leads me to the coach.

Enzo playing higher up, plus a repeat of the James experiment, was always going to be a problem. Then he waited so long to make changes, and waited even longer to bring on our second talisman. After bringing him on, he played him in areas that already had attackers, and left the whole right wing for GUSTO to command. Basically same thing Chelle did this international break.

The players and the coach all failed. Considering we gifted them all three goals, I'm pleased with the scoreline cos we probably should've gotten baptized today.

Bayern completely outclassed us and treated us like school boys. They weren’t bothered as they quickly closed us down and forced us to go long and lose the ball while they held on to the ball expertly.

The difference in class was too much. We don’t have good defenders and as long as we don’t press very high and aggressively, we are certainly losing.
