Happie Boys Beg Nigerians for Forgiveness, Hint at a Comeback After Apostle Chibuzor’s Deliverance

The Nigerian internet sensations known as the Happie Boys have publicly begged for forgiveness and appealed to Nigerians to “bring back the love” they once enjoyed. This heartfelt plea comes just days after their reconciliation with Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), who had earlier sponsored their education abroad.

The duo, Matthew Kelechi and Amakor Johnson, shot to fame in February 2022 after a video of them dancing while on duty as security guards at a Chicken Republic outlet in Aba went viral. Their dismissal from the job turned into a blessing when Apostle Chibuzor offered them scholarships to study in Cyprus.

However, their journey took a dramatic turn. In June 2023, after falling out with the Apostle, the boys were deported back to Nigeria from Cyprus. They publicly accused Apostle Chibuzor of abandoning them and even spread damaging allegations against him.

On September 14, 2025, the Happie Boys, accompanied by their parents, returned to OPM headquarters to tender a public apology. They admitted to being misled by a U.S.-based nurse assistant, Daniel Ochu, who they claim manipulated them with promises of relocating to the United States if they spoke ill of the Apostle. During the reconciliation service, Apostle Chibuzor forgave them, prayed for them, and declared, “Go and prosper.”

Despite regaining the Apostle’s forgiveness, the duo still appears eager to win back the hearts of Nigerians. In a recent video, they passionately pleaded:

Interestingly, towards the end of the video, the pair hinted with excitement that something promising is already “cooking behind the scenes,” sparking speculation about a possible comeback project. They also specifically mentioned VeryDarkMan, appealing to him and the wider public to support them once again.

For now, Nigerians are watching closely to see whether the Happie Boys can truly rebuild their reputation and restore the love that once made them social media darlings.

All the love they received in the past what they do with it? Unfortunately the so called apostle has played them 2-0. They should just go and look for a job or something but it’s very unlikely to work cos the apostle has wrung them dry.

What needs help is their mindset, helping someone with a poor mindset is of no use.

I'll enrol one of them to learn.aluminium work for free,if they re ready to learn....nothing beats handout,make them atleast get skills,not contents.
