Very good. Let the children be taught how various ethnic Nationalities that are not ready to unite to build a nation, were forced by colonialists to coexist under a geographical contraption called Nigeria. |

Talkisneeded:It created a bigger problem! I'm happy it's coming back along with Civic duty learning. The level of hate, tribalism and bigotry in our society is toxic!!! You see it online and off line. This may be the way to save Nigeria... The current set of adults and youths need to leave the scene... Their bitterness, doubt and toxic experience shouldn't damn the coming generation of people who would be true Nigerians indeed. I'm tired of separatists propaganda... Bitter politics... All of it |

BigBreezeBabs:History was removed long before Buhari came into power. Maybe if history existed you would know the history of history removal. History was removed as a stand-alone subject in primary and junior secondary schoolsin 1982 when Nigeria switched to the 6-3-3-4 system. It was merged with social studies. In 2007 the government officially abolished history in primary and JSS, it was implemented in 2009/10. In senior secondary schools very few schools offered it. |

It shows you the magnitude of damage the so called leaders have inflicted on this country. You just pulled out a very vital subject from the curriculum because of political considerations. Now, you are reintroducing it. Reasons why Gen Zs don't even know who Gowon and Obasanjo is. Some even think Odumegwu Ojukwu was Nnamdi Kanu's father. |
