Only a handful of employees go beyond bounds to deliver excellent results without being supervised or being compelled (either through penalty for failure or incentives for success).
This is the koko. It's basic human decency, but it's hard to find around here, especially in workers.

he is talking nonsense. they will not leave for Qatar if he was paying them by standards.
I thought he finished the construction of the refinery and so will definitely need to let go of all construction staff?

It's very disturbing that every talented Nigerian dreams of leaving this country to work elsewhere. No country ever grows like that.

BTW, Qatar can never consider a Nigerian working in their country an expatriate. They call you an immigrant. The difference lies in where you come from and the opportunity your country offers you.
Saying that Qatar or countries don't recognize Nigerians as expatriates is ignorant talk my friend grin very ignorant and it shows how even u rates ur own country. Nigerians have been working as expatriates since forever. please make informed contributions not what u feel cause how u feel is never truth but what d facts actually are

...Why won't they when it's a private company but let them work for NNPC and see best as the worst. Qatar have laws, they shift, they are prosecuted,so they give their best but in Nigeria, you go hear na your father own am..
Best comments so far 😁

Well said 😂

Dangote is just tapping into public emotions to gain cheap sympathy. If this is true why not make Nigerian engineers 70% of his team lead instead of parading Indiansgrin. Though with my little experience in the tech industry we have lots of sound Nigerian guys who are even better than the so called US & Chinese gurus

Our Entire Education is UNWELCOMED by the political class.
So the more educated you are the more frustrated you're made to feel.
Until you start desiring so much to leave the country for good.
Educated people don't like going into politics
Politicians don't like getting educated.

But the criminally lazy ones Keep on enviously whining and bemoaning those who made it their choice to study and excell and secure excellent appointment where they could get it. I don't know how their personal choice where ever they choose to work has now become a health problem to you.

A lot of Nigerians who left are not coming back
Do not even kid yourself
Most Nigerians do come back. We must visit our families, see where we grew up and come show off to our friends how well we've made it. But if we do not come back, we do send revenue home that contributes to Nigeria's growth and development.

In fact, a new 'Nigerians coming back' in UK is being fueled by the Nigerian Schools Foundation, an umbrella organisation for school's alumni that provides avenues for giving back. Some alumni abroad have taken on the finances of their alma mata and fully fund teachers' salaries, while many have renovated and built infrastructure in their old schools.

Nigerian engineers are good yet all the heavy equipment that was used in building Dangote refinery came from Indian companies like Thermax because the steel industry in Nigeria remains undeveloped as a result of monopolisation by corrupt civil servants and politicians. This is a sector that can create more than 100k jobs if transparently privatised.

Please stop that.

All these countries recognise the Global Talents and respect them no matter what country they come from.
If you knew what Global Talent is all about, you wouldn’t equate it to common immigrants who spend their life savings to sojourn in another country.
Stop thinking like a naive child, nobody regards you black Africans as expatriate, they have never and will never, racism us real.

Because he had no work for them to do? If you complete your house, you will give the bricklayers and painters full time position? Interesting.

In America, when you work, they will tell you to slow down, the goal is to work smart not hard.

Sounds like work for a boss who would not progress and would stop progression. Thankfully, it's not slavery. One can quit and go get another boss.

If boss owned company and sold faster than you made he'd appreciate you not slowing down and working faster and would likely compensate you handsomely for it.

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has revealed that Nigerian engineers excelled during the construction of his refinery, performing better than their Indian counterparts.

He added that 18 of them are now working as expatriates in Qatar, showcasing Nigeria’s engineering talent on the global stage.
it is only low self esteem that allows the entire world to know NIgeria has the best engineers and professionals, but Nigerians themselves don't know. They will be importing oyibo from places that oyibo themselves don't hire from
