Hi everyone, I’m posting on behalf of a friend who’s been experiencing a skin issue. From time to time, her skin starts to swell and becomes very itchy. When she scratches the area, it gets worse l, the swelling increases, and the irritation spreads. She describes the sensation as feeling like “worms” under the skin. There are no visible worms, but that’s how she describes the feeling. All the recommended drugs so far isn't working. Has anyone experienced something similar or know what this could be? Any suggestions on what might be causing it or what drugs she could get Thanks in advance!

Hypersensitivity to insect bites or other external factors, leading to eczematous/reddish wheals/hives/lesions. A handy corticosteroid cream should resolve this within an hour. In the village, my late grandmother would simply apply fresh palm oil mixed with siam weed on it... Worked like magic, and even made the skin look better than before. |

It could be methicillin resistant staph infection. It's an extremely stubborn infection that gets worse especially if one self medicates with antibiotics that are not strong enough. She must not use any more antibiotics, the infection will get more resistant to the infection |

Surface2AirToto:This is not a problem at all, in some part of Nigeria, it comes with Puberty mostly in guys. Just apply red oil all over the body for about 1-2 hrs and you’ll be fine. |

HERE IS THE ANSWER: You came in skin contact with a poisonous hairy worm or caterpillar. Go get parcemol or panadol because you are going to get fever for two days. Nothing serious but you will be okay after a week. Drink so much water and eat much of protein based food. Puriton tablet may help you too. To reduce itching, use ice or cold water on the skin. Improve your environment. You live very close to bushy areas. |

prinzmenzir:This is urticaria. I also experience it. There is no known cure. Just identify what she could be allergic to and avoid it. Anti histamines such as Loratidine,Cetirizine can help reduce the itchiness. Also can try Tabs Monteluklast. I didn't know what I was allergic to until I realised it was hibiscus flower coupled with me being asthmatic. Wish her quick recovery |

That's an allergic reaction. She's coming in contact with something that her system doesn't like. There's this tiny white tablet that works for it, I've forgotten the name. Will write it when I remember. |
